      Making The Leap

Two nights ago I had a vision:

I have just six months more to live.

      Then I am dead.

      For sure.

      Sounds crazy, huh?!

Well... for anyone of us it is true (no life can be eternal, apart for Chuck Norris, his life is). We are going to die at some point. Maybe not within a six-month time span, but sooner as we can imagine.

I spun my thoughts a bit wider (I became ill, maybe that's why I got so mental) and came to the conclusion:

I want to make a ****ton of money before I die and live a rockstar life.

After I asked myself how I could do that, I got the idea to start another blog.. not about cashgames... not about becoming an excellent person.. but about MTTs.

      Therefore...

      My Goal...
for the next two months is to progress so much that I can cash something BIG in a large-field tournament.

This blog will be working in combination with my other blog. I will keep on grinding cashgames, but will get to those MTTs in the evenings.

This blog will be purely about posting hands and bragging with graphs and cashes (when it happens).

Feel free to join and talk about specific hands with me and other members.

      Looking forward!

Going to post a specific tournament roster later on...

      Thx, Vonki :)

      Playing Day 1

Man, I'm so sick. I mean not pokerwise, but literally. My throat hurts, my nose runs, my eyes ache. But somehow I just wanted to grind. With the last strength I've got left I popped a half cup of coffee and ran 6 tables of the $2,50 180-Man SnG's. Somehow everything worked out and it was a lot of fun playing them. But I must say I SUCK haha. But I'm not going to judge myself (obv.) and get busy soon with starting to master the push-fold-phase and then work myself backwards from the end-game to the beginning-phase of a tournament. It's probably the best because I see the most improvement in playing shorter stacks. Today I probably pushed way too wide in various situations and also called a re-shove too light. I can see how patience plays a HUGE role in MTTs. Especially as soon as you get down to 7-8bb. I tend to be very aggro... too aggro. Last year I purchased the ICMizer 2 Pro version for a one-year subscription. Definitely gonna use that for session-reviews.

      Hands

      1) Not sure if the push was ok. We were down to 11 Players and I was the second shortest stack on the table with 7bb. Maybe, ICM-wise it's just better to wait for a better spot. Not really sure which range to shove here. I told ya I'm a MTT-Fish :f_biggrin:

      Playing Day 2

Feeling much better today and ready to rock some longer tournaments.

      Sunday-Funday Roster:

      Along with...

      18:45 $5,40 KO $10k GtD
      19:03 $4,40 P.S-KO $10 Gtd
      19:30 $11 Sunday Storm
      20:00 Bigger $11
      20:10 $3,30 P.S-KO $12,5k Gtd

.. I'm going to use the 180-Man's as fillers trying to be a bit on the tighter side today.

      GL everyone :)

      Results

      Graph:

Wow... that was a test for my willpower.. I think I never ran so bad as today. Lost about 80% of the flips and busted on the bubble to a final table 2 times in the 180's. For a second I got thoughts like "wtf is this.. such a waste of time.. lol", but then I pushed through. I tried to make the best of the bigger $11 and got ITM but busted from the HIJ with a 13bb shove with A6o vs AJo. But what should I expect having not put any work into MTTs yet :)

      - one reason: not enough patience. I mean I played almost only Fast Poker NLHE CG the last 2 years and I'm used to very fast action formats and it's a big challenge to slow down and just wait for good spots :)

      - constant checking of my rank within the tournament (equivalent to checking graph playing CG's)

      - Snap-decisions (just look at the hand)

      Playing Day 3

In my other blog I am writing about motivational issues. I had a bit of motivation though to grind some tournaments last night. I am getting better, significantly, and that's good. But without the right drive winning big is still a problem. However, I managed to finish off in the $3,30 PSKO on Stars on 80th (of ~5k entries), but busted in 5 180-Man's and the Big $11 (AK < KTo lol). A day in between (that I didn't protocol here) I finished a $2,50 180-man SnG as 2nd which was nice. Tournament wise I am slightly down. But I know the moment is going to come that I ship something BIG
