      Powerfest 2016

February 21 sees partypoker launch their newly named, $5,000,000 guaranteed Powerfest, where buy-ins range from $5.50 to $5,200.

The series includes a whopping 98 tournaments and lasts for four weeks, drawing to a close on March 20.

Each week focuses on each of the Power Series categories: Featherweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight, and High Roller and you can see the Powerfest schedule below.

      2016 Powerfest Schedule

In addition to the massive $5 million worth of guaranteed prize pools, partypoker will be running a festival-long promotion called the Tournament of Champions. This will be made up of all the winners from the 98 Powerfest events and will take place on Sunday 27th of March, after which the winner can enjoy the Las Vegas trip of a lifetime.

Each of the 98 players will win a range of prizes including Power Series tournament tickets from $5.50 up to $530 and a chance to compete for the Vegas package.

The $5,000 partypoker Tournament of Champions winner's package include:

      • Flights plus five nights hotel accommodation for two people
      • One tournament entry into the WPT500 at The Aria
      • $1,000 spending money
      • Dinner with partypoker ambassador Mike Sexton plus a signed copy of his new Life's a Gamble book.
      • Gloves signed by former boxing world champion and partypoker ambassador Carl Froch
      • Tournament of Champions winner's belt.

Now is the perfect time to get involved in partypoker's Tickets Tournaments and Ticket Brawls where you can win your way to Powerfest events for as little as $0.01.

I had a few small cashes but overall, same... Now the free ticket to a week 2 event (which I haven't received yet) is my last chance to make some money back :f_tongue:

GL to everybody who plans to actively participate in those higher buy-in tourneys though :f_thumbsup:

Same here. 2 small cashes and 4 pre-bubble bustouts culminating in busting the ME about 3 hours in. Lost Half my stack when I called a shorter stack's shove with JJ. He had A5. Board ran out A5x5x. Ouch. A few hands later I got TT and open shipped. You wouldn't believe the hand that called me. Yes. A5. An Ace on the flop and it was GG Laz.

Did have some fun railing thazar later on but unfortunately he busted 85th JJ>AK.
