      Hello!
I'm a beginner and I'm extremely curious to find out how EQUILAB comes up with those exact percentages when running equity calculations.

      For instance:
Given the flop: :8h: :Js: :6s:
Hand: :Ks: :Jd: has 81.11% equity
Hand: :Qh: :Jh: has 18.89% equity

I don't understand what's the math behind this in order to get to the percentages listed above. Any help is more than appreciated, thank you in advance!

      Hi oviwapoker,

The math behind that is quite complex and would be very difficult to do manually. Basically Equilab calculates every possible runout and tells you how often you win. This is done by enumerate all or monte carlo method. You can Google those methods and read how they work. I'm not the best person to explain this since I'm not very good at math.
