Hand Values within Top X% Range

Hello guys! I'm a SNG student doing a study on hand range values to improve my push/fold decisions i.e what range constitutes top 10%, 20% etc, but this question is going to be relatable to all.

What I notice is that QJo is within top 20%, while A2o is at 40%. However, in heads up, A2o is slight favourite over QJo. My understanding is that values are in comparison to every single hand combination available, but in reality players are only going to play the upper range most of the time, so hand rankings and winning percentages will be different. In my example, A2o is probably going to rank higher than QJo within Top 50%.

Is there any programme/system that allows me to find out what are the top 10%, 20% etc range within only the top 50% range?

      Hey fingontinuviel,

Our free tool Equilab allows you to calculate hand ranges by percentage as well as measuring how individual hands or ranges compare against other individual hands or ranges.

This does not take into consideration ICM situations.

I'll move this to our 'SnG' board where you may get more responses.
