      :f_drink: Intro post :f_drink:

      Hello everyone,
I used to have a blog here long time ago and it was something that motivated me a lot to play better and improve myself. I find it's motivating to speak with other players, meet people, post results and hands.

You can expect from this blog :
      Hand analysis
      Rants from wins and loses
      Live poker results
      Awesome graphs
      Self introspection
Emotion mangement! (I will need to work on that one)

Don't hesitate to PM me if you want to chat about anything (well mostly poker I guess:) )

      About me :
      29 years old standard guy,
Used to play STT on FT pre black friday.
Got into university and stopped poker seriously, mostly played at live event with a couple of decent cashes. (Binked a 100$ live tourney not to long ago for 1.5k, split 4 ways)
Done my course, I am now in health science with a decent salary and I can try to put some hours in poker.
I realized how much I missed poker after trying to play seriously live, but cash game live can be very costly and I am not as good as cash game as SNGs.

      -----

      The beginning

My 888 poker account is tracked by pokerstrategy.
      I decided to deposit 200$
I downloaded pokertracker 4, I remember how to use it pretty well.
I will buy SNG wiz probably soon. I think also my push and fold is pretty rusty.

So here's to the beginning of a new adventure.

      Starting bankroll : 200$

      Thanks for reading.

      First post :
I was pleasantly surprised about the traffic at the 5$ limit on 888 poker for SNG STT.
I think I might be able to 4 table during rush hour without too much wait so it makes me happy.
I am just done my first session right now after such a long break.
Was a little bit rusty but I don't recall seeing too many tough spot, the game still look beatable (Or I just don't see the spots and I am in trouble?? :P ) :f_love:

So I had time for a tiny first session before work today
It didn't go too well but sample is so small that it means nothing.
      screencast

      I AM CRUSHING THE GAMES!!\\@@
Don't worry, I won't post a graph every 7 games :) I will wait for 50 games for next graph, that was just my first one.

      Current bankroll : 191$
      Since last time : -9$

I will be back after a bigger sample size or if I have more interesting hands, take care everyone.

      Dear diary (lol),
Anyways, I understand nothing much interesting for you guys now.

I am already starting to lose a decent amount of BI at the 5$ limit.
The sad part is I know i'm doing some bad pushes/calls. The sample is still too small but my BR is crashing.
The other sad part is that I didn't register to PT4 yet, so I have this annoying ad blocking part of the screen that makes me sometimes not see top positions when they raise or call and they made me do at least 2-3 bad pushes that cost me the game. Oh well.
I also miss SNG wiz to review my hands, I will have to buy that soon.
Tomorrow I will try to get another session in before work. But I feel that my game is a bit weak, the live play of the past few years made me way too loose and I will have to fix that.
My HU game is pretty terrible too at the moment, so much work to do...so little time...
      Hopefully I can.
Anyways I will go post some hand in the hand discussion forum (I see the hand evaluation doesn't exists anymore)
      Take care everyone.

Aaw, another Sit and Go playing health scientist? Your story could be my story (at least very similar!!), you could be my little brother :f_biggrin:

I´m using the trial version of Poker Tracker too, Sit and Go Wiz doesn´t work with every poker room, some of them even forbid the Wizard, others restrict its function.

Post a graph after around 500 Sit and Goes. The variance can be big and you have to play many many of them to get a reliable result. And I think your bankroll management is a bit too loose: 5 Dollar Sit and Goes with a BR of 200? Wouldn´t it be better to start first at the lower limits? Like 1 or 2 Dollar? You should have at least around 80-150 Buy-ins; as a beginner or re-starter even more!

      That is a good point,
It's just really hard for me to play lower than 5$ and have interest. I know in 2010-2011 I beat already these limits with a decent ROI on FT over a decent amount of game (1k + tourny).
If I drop too much tho I will play the 3$s. I hope not.
The next graph I will post will be after 100 games then :) .

Good luck! But don´t forget: The players are much better now than back in 2006-2011.

      yes indeed I notice that.
At least i'm playing on 888 poker which is way softer than FT/PS ...just way less traffic too.

Hmm I still didn't get points since I started to play. I wonder if my tracking on 888 still works.
Anyways I had small heater today which put me back in the positive again.

      Number of STTS: 29
      Total profit according to PT4 : 15.61$
      Current BR : 206$

Still a small amount I know.

Sadly I am not able to make SNG wizard to work, it seems like it doesn't want to export hands and that the database is not working. I don't have time to troubleshoot right now but ill look it up monday.

So there won't be any updates from me during the weekend, I will be working 24hours in two days so no poker time.
Will probably put a decent session monday and tuesday.

Another thing I realized is I don't think I can play long sesssions like before, it seems like I will have to make shorter sessions with more breaks in between.

On another topic, i see a lot of people talking about getting into shape etc. I wish I had the motivation. I gained a lot of weight since the past 5 years mostly because of stress + not working out. Maybe I can use this blog to also motivate myself to work out with goals and so on.

Talking about goals, I realized I didn't set any goals, so my first and only goals for now will be :

***Play 500 games at the 5$ limit....without going broke!!! -- If BR goes under 100$ I will have to play the 3$ but the goals to play at least 500 games to know where I am standing

Ok, have a good weekend everyone.
remember to spend time with your friends in family, because in the end, they are the ones who will matter, not moving up limits, or not chipping a MTT.

      Well.
Time to stat grinding tonight and tomorrow.

So the pokerstrategy support was kinda enough to let me know that I fucked up,
basically my referral from 2009 is not good anymore no 888 poker so I won't be getting any points.

I am kinda disappointed since it was the only way for me to make points.
I guess this will be a bronze for a long time blog.

It won't stop me from playing seriously,
I have a solid base anyways, the game is soft on 888 so I'll stick to it now.
If need be, I could probably always buy a status. (yea, dont think thatll happens)

I will of course keep updating my blog anyways, it's a nice source of motivation and to write makes me happy. Gotta do what makes you happy in life.

I am thinking after reading IvicaIliev77 blog I will also set up some health goal.
      Thank for reading.
I will post a report tomorrow night.

haha hmmm yes I will consider
I'm still gonna stick on 888 poker for a month or two, I like the vibe there for the moment.
Also the problem is, I deposited a decent amount and then to withdraw is always a hassle, then I will have to use CC to deposit on other website, so I will have too much poker money everywhere. I will wait a bit then probably switch website. I was thinking about netpoker too.

Incoming : October recap and november goals.

      Hello everyone,

So obviously I didn't put a lot of volume in the 4 days I started to play back poker. Many reasons for that, the traffic on 888 for SNG is not that busy, also I only 4 table (sometimes 4 to 6 if i'm in the mood)
But already, I hit my first heater. Today I was gonna play a longer session but after doing so well I decided to stop, I would like to enjoy a nice winning session again.

So here's the results since I started back :

      upload image online

      Bankroll : 296.88
      Profits since I started : 96.88$

Look, don't get me wrong, I know 50 SNGs is nothing, but still, that's in 4 days, I would like to think that things are looking great for the future. (Until I hit my first real downswing)

Anyways, today I am going to play cash game and a tourney at my local casino.
I am doing ok at NL200 live, people are really fishy and it's mostly for fun that I play.
I also will play today a 65$ tournament, they last a while and they are entertaining, I cashed a couple of times.
I love online poker, but nothing beats the feels of the cards and the look on people faces when you win.

      -----

      November goals :
      Online poker :

        *300 SNG games
        *Review hands on the forum
*Practice ICM 100 hands before each session
*Try to figure out why my SNG wiz isn't working :f_mad: :f_mad:

      Life/Health :

*Get together with a friend I haven't seen in a long time
*Lose 10 pounds. That's only 2.5 pounds a week. (For people who are curious I am currently around 240 pounds, 6 foot 1. 10 pounds should be easy to lose)

      ---

      Randomness :

I must say there's one future on 888 poker that I like a lot. You can actually "throw stuff" at your opponents lol. It's kinda funny if I get a really bad beat I'll try them a snowball, makes me feel better inside (I'm such a fish :f_biggrin: :f_biggrin: )

Some people on 888 are really terrible, i've seen some things I didn't know that people in 2016 would still play poker that way. (And thank god they do!)

Finally, here's the music I was grinding to today, I think it's the best kind of music because it has a lot of beat and keeps me focus.

      Have a great day everyone.

      Hi everyone,

Played only about 20 tournaments since the last post.
My last week ended up being super busy.
I had to do replacement for work for $$$ and I ended up doing like 50 hours ++ so didn't put that much volume.
All my games were actually today.
      Played like 2 hours.

      Again a winning session,
my ROI is a bit ridiculous right now : 47% ITM and 38% ROI lol.
I know this won't last but oh well, better enjoy it while it does.
If my BR doubles up, I might just withdraw and start over on a website that i'm tracked.

Played 4 to 6 tables at the same time today.
I didn't find that I had any tough decision, or I didn't see them.
I was facing some terrible people in my heads up matches, all the good ole tricks would work, pretty happy about that.
One thing I know i'm doing wrong is that I pretty much always 3BB raise any blind level, should probably 2.25x or 2.5x at some points, otherwise i'll lose lots of chips in the long term.
I will fix that next session.

Trained on ICM a bit today, reviewed some hands on the forum.
Poker wise, i'm definitely behind schedule, will try to play couple of hours tomorrow too.

      ---

      Life/Health.

I'm also way behind on the weight lost challenge.
As a matter of fact probably the same excuse for not putting volume...too much work.
Is that even an excuse? My gym is open 24/7. lol. I'm such a fish.
Also, been drinking too much beers :f_drink: :f_drink: . The calories from the beer itself isn't good, but the worst part is probably how hungry it makes me.
Beer --> Hungry --> Food ---> Get weight, etc.

Anyways, I will have to lose that weight, I am getting married in about 8 months.
      Gotta look sharp.

      Take care friends.

You have to play much more to get your realistic ROI, but well, not bad! :f_thumbsup:

And didn´t I substitute your beer with some nice cups of tea??!!! :f_o: :f_ugly:

Aaaaw, weddings: always romantic. I´ve been married for 10 years and still: I always like to see weddings and beautyful dresses and romantic :f_love: . Aaaw :f_love:

hehe but then I thought tony gave it back to me ? :P

I know for the ROI, at least 500 games to get a small idea, more like 1k games for real ROI.
It's kind of crushing me to think I will have to wait that long.

You must definaly be a girl heheh, I find most girls adore wedding so much because of what you mentionned :) .

Just a small update about today sessions :

I definitely have less stamina for long session. I get distracted after 2 hours of playing and start feeling some guilt that I should be doing something else, lol, that's bad.

Another thing, it seems like I am running so good that I am a bit above EV (specially chip EV).
That's not good either, because when the fall will start, it will hurt a lot.

I guess i'll post a graph because it looks so good at the moment lol.
      upload an image

      BR : 346$
      Profit : 146$ (That's 30 BI since I started :f_cool: )

Waiting for the fall, but enjoying the rise hehehe.

Do you guys think I should just withdraw and play on another site of I reach 400$?
Take care everyone, time to work.
(Didn't go to gym today, woke up too late, was keen on playing poker.)

[/quote]You have to start with small sessions and it is very normal that people loose concentration after 2 hours, you should take a break of about 5 to 10 minutes about every 90 minutes.

So either you work in the night or you must be Australian or live in the far east?
