yeah as played I'm folding too.

but to my mind here playing way ahead/way behind is better
check behind flop and call a bet on turn would be my line

I rather flat here preflop vs a tight player (12 pfr) in early position. You know he doesn't fold to 3bets pf a lot and a lot of Flops: A, K or Q high will freeze your hand. -> 2 reasons to only call IP preflop.

Flop play depends on your read/notes.

If he practically never folds to cbet on flop combined with his pfr+call (lotsa A in his range) I wouldnt even cbet here and take a free card / pot control.

      hi
if you know he calls 3 bets a lot is perfectly fine to 3 bet jj . he will always call with any pp , connectors and broadways .
as played i like cbeting since he isnt aggresive and it isnt likely for him to check raise as bluff many hands and when he does you can easily muck and makes your hand easy to play .
he will call you a lot with draws or middle pair type hands and will check it alot on the turn so you can do pot control there and reevaluate river
