Hey metalmonkey thanks for stooping hope you here to stay :)
I have to be honest I was on a fence for a while if I should start this blogging endeavor or not(again), but hey hey here we are and its time for my first real post so many weird ideas on where we could begin... but I reckon some of that stuff might be just to heavy for first entry, so lets go back to basics... Small things... life is all about small things no matter how I look at it we all might have a grand scheme of things of where we see ourselves, where we want or should be in Y number of years, but as I see world it always boils down to small and subtle things we go through everyday... god its hard to keep my train of thought going I really don't want to make this a long post... small things... yeah right, so where I'm heading is Malcolm Gladwell in hes book ''Outliers'' states that to become a world class expert it takes 10, 000 of hours*, of deliberate practice to achieve this status, I wonder how many hours I will manage to put in 2017... small things, they make a life so much simpler, having a good frame set in place for grind, study, relaxation, exercise list can go on and on... how about for even trying everyday to stay positive, brings so much value back to you in everyday life.
Potatoes around the world reading this, let me know what you think, am I on something or just tripping this Wednesday!!

      *10k hours rule interesting read

time to to put some goals to paper for December.

      * fix sleep regime
      * finish reading at least one poker book
      * 10 hours of study a week

Making point on going to bed before 12 o'clock will be top priority, the amount of time I spend in bed each day is horrendous, which I am pretty sure have number of negative implications on me. December will be all about trying to trim that mental laziness fat of me. LFG!

Found this article from another members blog, who also was encountering sleep issues.
How to Get Up Right Away When Your Alarm Goes Off
It is an interesting read and the author has experimented with different sleep techniques like polyphasic sleep

Thanks metalmonkey, Interesting read noticed some of the techniques guy uses actually are transferable, to deal with other issues one might have, I don't see myself trying polyphasic sleep version any time soon though, with Mtt format being very heavy focused on long stretches of time per tourney, maybe when I switch to different format...
God I love the emotional roller-coaster of Sunday tournaments...

      rip 10 hours

Zero to hero challenge, kick-offed finally grinded 50 cent from daily freerols, I'll try to build bankroll from 1 buy in, playing lowest limit Sngs at Winamax, to reduce variance I will play DoN tournaments at the start. LFG fam!

I just finished it too. Not bad and had me guessing to the end. Did you see the Easter egg in the last episode for series 2??

Agree, it was very well written and speaking of Easter eggs
They had a few pieces taken from Jurassic park, the globe at the JP entrance is moved to basement of WestWorld main building, where broken robots are kept(left)... There were a couple more allusions to JP in a show, but that makes sense as a writer who wrote WW wrote JP as well, theme of both works share a lot of similarities...
and speaking of samurais I found it a bit odd watching when I noticed Logo switch on doors from WW to SW, but that makes a lot of sense now...

      Saga begins

last few days I was wondering how to start this post and oh boy I did come with some over the top, elaborate and silly ideas... at one point I was even putting all that manure in this very box, ambiguous inspirational nonsense, bloated expectancies for '17... but you know what I am/ we are better than that verbal diarrhea...
Pragmatism is something more people should try to practice, that would make life so much simpler.
      I'll make 2017 my year.
How will you do it, you ask ?
Simple, I will study more, grind more and have more fun at the tables than ever before.
I watched this podcast while ago where poker pro was talking about felt which gathers at casinos on regular basis, he had one great point which clicked with me it was something like... '' Most of these guys are slight losers or Break even players at the games they play and one thing which they all share is love for poker, but love isn't enough, if you don't put in hours and hours of study off the tables you eventually become one of those guys.''

What I wish for everyone is stay hungry fam!

      January goals are:
      1-2 hours of study daily
      2 Jogs every week

Ohhh yeah and that 1buy in to 1 million is happening :sfishg:

I feel like one of the untold dangers grinders face is diarrhea at late stages of multi tabling sessions... no one warned me about this.... :f_eek:

-taking off 5 minutes to do whatever in between the sets seems to reset my mind really well, I feel like an hour wasted daily increases ROI massively. Might experiment later with 10 minute breaks and increase number of set before I take a break.

coming from poor background I can so relate to this.

      - slightly disappointed with myself right now, couldn't fall a sleep for 2 hours, decided to get up and skip sleep, went on 48 hour streak to stay up, skipped Saturday grind completely. The only silver lining of the story I guess is at least had sense not to get anywhere near poker tables(been there, done that before and it was not pretty).

      Quick update on January goals:
Current Game: Sngs: 6max Turbo 1.5$
1-2 hours of MTT study daily
      2 Jogs every week
      1k+ sngs volume
      Shots at 3$ sngs
Finish at least one of the started books
      Build Bankroll for Mtts

-to recap Nov and Dec they were quite unfortunate to me, ended a year by burning my bankroll, and was left with only 50$ , mostly due to lifestyle change, very aggressive bankroll management and poor results, no time to look back though. Goal now is to climb out of micros asap every time I reach 100 buy in marks I will be taking shots at next limit.
I was somewhat curious before about ROI at lowest stakes. What do you think is reasonable % to expect? I was thinking something around 30% is very doable.
I was experimenting with number of tables found out that 12 tabling tiled is pretty difficult once action increases I go into autopilot and can't pinpoint critical hands anymore, my game quality drops quite significantly compared to 9 tabling, it was quite a while since I played that many tables at once, feels nice though smashing those raise buttons :sfishg: additionaly rakeback isn't that great so 3 extra games even though adds up, still shouldn't make much of a difference I'd much rather have higher ROI than volume for time being, might actually give a shot for 10/11 tables later on...

      January results:

      I love you, thank you!
