On flop, I figured there was a good chance he hit nothing and would fold to a reraise. When he calls, should I slow it down though?
I still thought there was a good chance I was ahead, so I fired again. I also wanted to get a check on the river.

On the river there was no point in betting anymore anyway. Any A had me beat there.

I would likely give up on the turn, since seems that he has overpair- who would b/c with A high there?
You should also raise bigger on the flop- at least 5$.
If you bet turn, then you´re not really betting for value, rather you´re turning your hand into bluff, that' s why I would bet 8$ on the turn and shove on that river card.
They would fold a lot of times there overpairs.
