      Hi,

My Name is Joachim 'Joko' Hoefler, 26 years old and I am from Austria and i study English and Sports at a teacher training college in my hometown.
I play online Poker for over 10 years now. I started grinding the micros moving up to midtakes and started playing only Tournaments a few years ago. I always had success in Poker but unfortunately I always wanted to move up to higher buy ins too early and went broke :f_cry:

Thats why I thought a Blog would be a good idea :f_cool:

I played a few hundred Tournaments already this year and had quite a good run especially on the 3,50+ 180er on Pokerstars:

But unfortunately i played a lot of Spin&Go's too and lost most of it again :f_cry:

Thats why i want to start over again with a bankroll of 10$ and i want to move up to 10k$ by the end of the year.

I will play MT-SNG's only at least till I have a bankroll of about 1,5k, after that i will maybe play MTT's too.
The plan is to have a bankroll of 120 Buy-ins to move up to higher stakes.
So i thought something like this:

      BR 10$ - 60$
      $0,25 45er Turbo

      BR 60$ - 120$
      $0.50 180er Turbo

      BR 120$ - 300$
      $1,00 90er Turbo

      BR 300$ - 1260$
      $2,50$ 180er Turbo

      BR 1260$ - 10k$
      $3,50+R 180er Turbo
      Maybe other MTT's

Normally i play about 4-5 days a week even though there might be some small sessions included. I want to update the blog after every Session, or at least 2 times a week, with graphs, interesting hands and BR updates.

So i hope a few people are interested In my project and i hope I can accomplish my challenge or at least have a really good result.

Next Session will probably be today evening, but updates with hands and graph's will start next week.

So I finished the first session now and it went really well!

My goal was to have a ROI of about 100% and I think I made quite a good start in the first 17 Tournaments:

like I said earlier i started with 10$ (and a few cent).

      BR: 20,07$

      Chip graph:

Maybe some people will be interested in the blog if I keep on playing like that :s_cool:

Next Session will be tomorrow or wednesday

Another Session with 19 Tournaments today.

First 9 or 10 went quite good again but the other 9 were really bad :f_cry:

Next Session tomorrow or in 2 days!

      BR: $20.87

Maybe it’s a good idea for you to participate in our Get Rich or Die Tryin' - The Bankroll Challenge - Opt-in now! promotion. This way you get more motivated to compete against others.

Further I wish you good luck with improving your game :gl:

      Best regards,

So i played 3 Sessions this week and its just horrible

I keep on running in sets, flopped quads and so many other horrible spots :why:

This Hand probably describes the last days best:

***** Hand History for Game 1111111111 ***** (Poker Stars)
      Tourney Hand NL Texas Hold'em - Wednesday, March 08, 03:15:37 ET 2017

      Hero shows [6h, Ac ]
      Player6 shows [8s, 8d ]
Player6 wins 24526 from main pot

      Any Suggestions?

I know there are a lot of Full Houses out but he will definetly also push K, Q, J high flushes, sometimes J high straights and tries to bluff sometimes.

Not that easy those 0.25$ Tournaments
But I just have to adapt my game, play more tight and more aggresive on the bubble.
      Next week will be better!

I am also going to play a 115€ Buy-In 10k guaranteed NLH Tournament today at the local card casino.
Maybe also the PartyPoker Grand Prix at the end of March (I think 250€ Buy-In 500k guaranteed)
      I will update on that.

      Good luck on the tables!

A lot of ups and downs but i had quite a good stack all the time but then i got AA:f_cry:

      The Hand:
      21/93 Players 10kguaranteed
      Avg Stack ~ 125k

      UTG: 25.000
      ME(CO): 65.000
      BU: 45.000

I think the blinds were 3k/6k

So the UTG openshoves the 25k and while the others fold i see the BU putting his stack together and waits to put it in, so i think for a few seconds and call the 25k the BU immediately shoves his 45k blinds fold and i call. I was really happy and thought i can kick out 2 Players and get back to an average stack

      UTG: :5h: :7h:
      ME: :Ah: :As:
      BU: :Ac: :Qd:

Flop: :8d: :9c: :Jh: Turn: :6c: River: :Td: :why:

That was the last hand before the break and then the blinds increased and i was BB with 2BB left so i put it in with J8 and lost against A5s.
      Shit happens:milord:

I think i will just play the PartyPoker Grand Prix if I win at a Sattelite the day before.

      Good luck at the tables!
