I prefer just checking behind on that river. This guy is pretty passive, but he doesn't go to the showdown with nothing.

I don't out him on a monster here though, cause if he was he'd have shown a t least a bit of aggressiveness. I put him on a weak K and I don't think he's calling you on the river with anything less then a K, except MAYBE T9. Still, I think he has the K very often, so I prefer check behind.

I'd fire a second barrel on turn by the way.

Yup, you're right, I'm not getting called by worse on the river.

But why second barrel on the turn? 4 is more or less a blank and he's not gonna get scared of it - if he called me on the flop, he'll call me on that turn, won't he?

I would also check behind the river.

With the 2nd barrel you can represent a strong K. He might fold weak K's and straight draws.

Just checking behind is fine as well though

I would expect any Kx hand to bet out river
You could also go double barrel on the turn, since he could have also some draws which he might call and then take free showdown.
He coudl also fold weaker Kx hands.
