It’s the first raise in 21 hands of him and AKo is a nice hand to stack off with off course, but if I 3bet I would make it 9bb in total against his 3x raise. Now he will most likely never fold when he’s playing in position. Now he isn’t shoving, but 4betting for almost half his stack I expect you are flipping in best case and especially against most likely a nit I wouldn’t be surprise you could end up against KK+ only. Even if you block this hands with AK I would make a tight fold and wait for a better spot.

      Cheers,

If we were in position I like just flatting vs seemingly tighter oponents. Yeah AK is good and all but 40+ bb is still alot to stack off with and when we get flatted its abit weird.

OOP 3bet is alot better ofcourse. But the sizing isnt big enough. It should be to at least 8 even more. He gets too good odds IP vs 7bb.

Readless Im never folding once I 3bet with AK, but this guy seems really nitty. Buuuuuut the sample size is small, its a low BI sng, sometimes players get 20 junk hands in a row and go crazy when they see AT. So you really cant go wrong either way.

Personally, I hate folding my value 3bets so I probably would not fold. Thats why I often flat AK for 40-60bb because once I 3bet Im incapable of folding. :f_biggrin:

Agree with bigger 3 bet, would make it 9BB
when 4 bet its a tough spot, as you are most likely flipping or behind.
When he 4 bets it's either shove or fold.
I think you can make an argument for either, I think at this level I would shove, if I had been playing a higher buy in or this tournament for an hour or so, I would make a fold.
If you think you are better than most players at the table fold, and wait for better spots. If its fairly even, if you fancy bullying and don't mind a 50/50 shove.
