      Known players:
      Hero:
      $26,75
      BU:
      $27,75

      0,1/0,25 No-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.67 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is SB with A:diamond: , J:club:
2 folds, BU raises to $0,85, Hero raises to $2,55, BB folds, BU calls $1,70.

      Flop: ($5,35) 3:diamond: , 3:heart: , A:heart: (2 players)
Hero bets $3,50, BU raises to $9,00, Hero raises to $24,20 (All-In), BU folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $23,35

BU was TribunCaesar and he knew me. Actually, when played against him, I 3-bet him often (most of the time I had a hand to 3-bet and he tried to steal blinds often so I had to defend). Now, he had a position.

Because it was 3-bet pot, two heards were on the flop and it was Tribun who tried to play back when he was IP, I thought that I have probably the best hand. With AK, he would definitely 4-bet preflop (maybe also with AQ since I raised him quite often).

If I just called (fold was out of question) on the flop and check the turn (another bet would not have sence since it would have the same effect as the raise on the flop), Tribun would likely check behind the turn which would gave him two free cards and he might have outplayed me.

But if I raise him on the flop, I am giving him a message that he cannot steal my blinds profitably, maybe that I really defend my blinds with strong hands (e.g. with AK) and maybe he could call with pp not believing me an Ace (the last one I doubt).

      Your opinion?

Against tribun it is standard shove.
If board was rainbow I´d likely b/c to let him shove on the turn whatevery he holds, sibnce then he has 2-3 outs if you´re ahead.
Here he could also have flushdraw and giving free cards can be dangerous.
