      Hello Pokerstrategy Users,

I'm back to start a thread again, I had a previous thread Click Here where I built a £50 balance to near £200. Didn't finish it because I wanted to take a break. I've been playing since and building a nice bankroll. Going to start from 2nl for a bit to get used to the grind again. I'm going to be playing on Stars and moving from Microgaming as I'd like to use my HUD and at these microstakes there's plenty of soft players to go up against. I've decided to start a blog so I can post my progress and give myself some motivation to put in some volume. Also unlike my previous blog I don't want to put any figure I want to get to, just play poker and see where I get to.

Here's my graph of the last couple of months at microstakes:

      - 98% is 2nl and the rest being 5nl (about 3 buy ins)
      - First half is at MPN and the rest at Stars.

Here is the graph of todays short session just getting used to the grind again:

      - Red line at the end :why:

Interesting Spot on Turn with Queens:
      PokerStars - $0.02 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

      BTN: 30 BB
      SB: 269.5 BB (VPIP: 50.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 2)
      Hero (BB): 307 BB
      UTG: 98 BB
      MP: 110 BB (VPIP: 30.00, PFR: 30.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 10)
      CO: 402 BB (VPIP: 43.75, PFR: 25.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 18)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q:club: Q:heart:

fold, fold, fold, fold, SB raises to 3 BB, Hero raises to 8 BB, SB calls 5 BB

      Flop: (16 BB, 2 players) J:heart: 4:diamond: 4:spade:
SB checks, Hero bets 10 BB, SB calls 10 BB

      Turn: (36 BB, 2 players) 9:club:
SB checks, Hero bets 26 BB, SB raises to 52 BB, Hero calls 26 BB

      River: (140 BB, 2 players) T:club:
SB bets 199.5 BB and is all-in, fold

      SB wins 135 BB
I think the turn is an easy turn fold and was thinking that in the moment as well. 100% of the time this a set, was against an unknown and we all know what the min raise means on the turn. I really don't like my red line going down unnecessarily and this just really screwed it.

The villain on the turn was quite a calling station. Therefore on the flop he could of have been calling with a large range based on what I had seen with previous hands. Once he calls the raise on the flop I'm on tough situation on the turn. He had called check raises on the flop before and then just folded to a bet on the turn. I thought there was enough times where he has either a worse flush draw (ace high probably gets in although not 100%), straight draw or just random stuff like ace high. However I think that the ten doesn't really change that much on the turn. In the end it was a profitable shove that had got enough folds. I just didn't particularly wanted him to lead the river if a brick hit and I had to fold and was one of them opponents who did that.

My final thoughts going forward is to cut out the zoom as a big fan of regular tables. I thought that I would test my self at zoom poker which I'm not that big of a fan of. I played 5 normal and 2 zoom tables this session, nearly break even due to the Queens hand above although its just variance. I can tell that its just much tighter and I don't particularly want to play in them games and at 2nl if you can get hold of game flow and see how fish play in particular it makes it so much easier to know there tendencies to exploit. Therefore I'll be 6-9 tabling regular tables.
