      Preflop: He could think that you are stealing and tries to raise.
      Flop: Showing weakness with checking or maybe did he did set with 88 and wants to slowplay. I bet after his check.
      Turn: Checking again... maybe a draw? I definitely bet here.
      River: And I am going broke also and calling him.

      Lets see what judges advice :P how to play such hand.

      preflop is fine. On the flop it's close and depend on how he plays draws. I tend to check it behind and go for pot control because I believe he would bet a draw. I try to see a cheap showdown.
