Id say almost certainly the villain out kicked you, AQ. QK or 910s spades possible but not nearly as likely. As soon as you saw 4 players call your strong raise you pretty much needed to hit 2P or straight up to win.

Now, with a $2.55 pot you paid too much for the info that you were in deep crap on the flop (you could have paid $1.50 and a call would have been alarm bells time).

On the turn id have given a free card to the check hoping to improve to 2P, and screw him if he is drawing to a flush. If a flush falls you fold.

On the river id have checked down to see if my J was a good enough kicker. The only hands that reasonably would call a bet by that point are hands that have you beaten. If he was a loosing flush chaser you had him beat. Zero EV for your river bet there. The only time that bet would have been justified was if you DIDNT have the Q and wanted to make him fold his baby pair / high kicker.

Your fault was playing QJ far too strong for what they were - top pair with a garbage kicker, with regards to a 4 way called 6xBB raised pot.

(If you won the pot DriveNorth is an enourmous donkey, n1!)

I would give up the turn and check behind and think of betting smallish on river.

depending on the player you could check/behind turn for pot control or bet again for value. you have to know if his a station , hes decent or his a nit
if you bet again make it bit less in order he can call with draws and weaker queens
as played you have to shove river . no reason to check behind there if you have him he wont fold nothing that called the turn
