Yesterday I was at LemOn36 his The Evolution of a Micro Grinder (COACHING THREAD)

And today played I this hand. This one was all about dynamics (which LemOn36 mentioned yesterday).
I bluffed him of two hands already so I had the feeling he was steaming when he 4-bet me (very fast too like bam!).

      PokerStars - $0.02 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
      Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

      BTN: 100 BB (VPIP: 17.39, PFR: 13.04, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 24)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has T:spade: T:club:

fold, fold, fold, SB raises to 3 BB, Hero raises to 9 BB, SB raises to 23.5 BB, Hero calls 14.5 BB

      Flop: (47 BB, 2 players) 3:spade: 6:club: 9:heart:
SB checks, Hero bets 23 BB, SB raises to 108 BB and is all-in

What would you guys do, Fold or call here?

      :f_drink:

      Hero calls 85 BB

Yes, I called. Only reasons actually were my reads on him and the fact that playing a set like this is not the way I would do it.

But I really do not know If it's an OK play so any thoughts are welcome!

      Turn: (263 BB, 2 players) 4:spade:

      River: (263 BB, 2 players) Q:heart:

SB shows A:diamond: J:diamond: (High Card, Ace)
      (Pre 46%, Flop 24%, Turn 14%)
Hero shows T:spade: T:club: (One Pair, Tens)
      (Pre 54%, Flop 76%, Turn 86%)

Generally I don't think that playerpool at NL2 would ever light 4-bet, even in thses positions.
I am not sure, but probably I would just fold preflop.

Villain could play a higher overpair like this. There is not even a flush draw on the board that villain could have and I wouldn't put him very often on total air like he had now. This might be because of the dynamics you mentioned but be careful with this. Bluffing villain a couple of times doesn't always mean he is steaming, so don't over adjust.

I don't know the guy or in what situations did you bluff him and how much money he lost. So I don't know the dynamics between the two of you. Only thing I can say is that normally I would strongly consider folding in this spot.

Hmmm... OK only one hand :) but at that moment his 3 bet Preflop was 40%!

This hand in this spoiler was not against me, like his 5th hand.

So the facts are that you saw him once call a 4bet and then check raise jam the flop, but didn't see a showdown. Could have been a strong hand.
Then you bluffed the guy but the play seems totally standard for many villains holdings. He could have some mid pair that cbets the flop and check calls the turn and has to fold OTR. Then there is the fact that his 3bet% is high, which really doesn't tell us anything. He has probably 3bet once or twice? You need hundreds of hands to get even a slight idea how much he really 3bets.

The hands you posted don't tell me anything about dynamics between the two of you. And I would say you can't build any special dynamics in just 15 hands. It would mean you both would know each others style and go crazy and bully each other. So instead of thinking about dynamics (you think he plays differently against you because he knows you 3bet him a lot or something) you based your decision on a feeling that villain is an aggro monkey and could be tilting? And based on just these hands I wouldn't make that conclusion.

Yes you are right. I just felt he was bullying his opponents.

But for dynamics four hands will do already. If I have 3-bet bet you four times in a row you will react differently I believe.

Yea sure, if you 3bet me 4 times in a row I think you are crazy :f_biggrin:
