I agree with this. Especially on micro limits, the most profitable play is just ABC ;)

      Best regards,

      Hey Gerv,

Thanks for this. Please help me to understand the difference between this hand and the other hand I posted: K,4s (which you also commented on). I show the hand here again to make it easier:

      Known players:
      Position:
      Stack
      Hero:
      $4.50
      MP3:
      $20.34

      0.1/0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (8 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.67 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is BB with K:club: , 4:club:
      3 folds, MP3 calls $0.25, 3 folds, Hero checks.

      Flop: ($0.60) J:diamond: , 5:diamond: , 4:heart: (2 players)
      Hero checks, MP3 checks.

      Turn: ($0.60) 3:diamond: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.50, MP3 raises to $1.00, Hero folds.

      Final Pot: $2.10

In this hand, I have middle pair and 2 opponents on the flop. You advise not to take a stab at the pot.

In the other hand I have K,4s and I hit only bottom pair on the flop. I checked the flop and when SB also checked, I bet the turn with bottom pair, and also representing a flush. You said you thought that play was ok, so I want to know why it's ok to stab at the pot with bottom pair but not with middle pair.

      Is it because:
      1. I only have one opponent; or
      2. my opponent is SB so more likely to have nothing; or
      3. because of the cards on the board; or
      4. because in the hand with middle pair, MP2 limped in so I should assume he has a hand, maybe A,x?
      5. some other reason.

Look forward to hearing from you.
      Thx,
      Tim

Because with K4s, you are heads-up and he checks behind. So he doesn utilize his position by just betting to see if you (hero) got something

J8o hand, you are multiway ;)
