      Known players:

      0.1/0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (8 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.67 by

Preflop: Hero is BB with 2:diamond: , Q:diamond:
UTG2 calls $0.25, 4 folds, BU calls $0.25, SB calls $0.15, Hero checks.

      Flop: ($1.00) J:heart: , A:heart: , Q:club: (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.50, UTG2 calls $0.50, BU calls $0.50, SB folds.

      Turn: ($2.50) J:spade: (3 players)

      River: ($2.50) 5:diamond: (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG2 checks, BU checks.

      Final Pot: $2.50

It turned out that my pair of queens was sufficient to win this modest pot, but was I wrong to bet it? Having done so, I guess checking to the river was fine?

With a couple of loose-passives in the pot betting the flop is not terrible but probably not best.

Betting the river is throwing money away since no worse hand will ever call and with the loose-passives in the pot it is very unlikely that a better hand is likely to fold.(Ax,Qx,Jx are all ahead and FD's/str8 draws have missed).

Why bet 1/2 pot on the Flop against 3 plays with just MidPairNoKicker with a FD/SD board aka Wet board?

Your hand is 1) nothing, 2) not showdown worthy and 3) not ''I-like-to-take-a-stab-at-the-pot worthy hand in my opinion

Just check/fold till the river unless you spike 2pair+

      Best regards,
