How effective is your Blind Defense?

      Hi!

I wonder how effective could be blind defense?

I understand that I am going to loose money on blinds, but I would like to know what is normal?

E.g. if I had to pay 1000 BB on BigBlind what would be appropriate defense?

Same for SB if I payed 1000 SB (500BB) what would be appropriate defense?

During my last session (SH) I lost on BB approx 400BB and on SB approx 280 (compared to 1000BB payed on BB and 500BB payed on SB).

Position (Amout Blind) (Amount Won) (Without Blind)
      BB $1,042 -$421 $621
      SB $527.5 -$298 $228

      Thanks

      Edit: This is
      -0.2BB/100 hands on BB and
      -0.14BB/100 hands on SB

Anyway thanks for responses... there is still room for improvement ;)

I believe on lower limits (NL) the proper defense is not so much important, because you can get advantage by stacking your oponents... the size of blinds to size of POT is low...

I have no idea what's the optimal, but these are my stats after 15k hands (don't have more) with average-good winrate:

      15,037 hands:

      BB (2,772 h): -$2,815.5 (+$6,346.5 w/o blind) = -0.15 BB/hand
      SB (2,796 h): -$1,272.5 (+$1,952.5 w/o blind) = -0.06 BB/hand

      Those were all SH hands...

I SUCK at BB defense. I'm even afraid to look at stats, because I know they are horrible. I have to do something about BB defense...

Can I filter hands based on a position in Elephant? Can't find this feature (if there is one anyway).

Nope, but it'll be eventually added. :)

      hmm... suspicious at least..

      There're only 3 possible explanations:
      1. I'm as good as ciRith
      2. I'm not as good as ciRith and I'm just running hot (not very possible obv)
      3. I'm better than ciRith and he's envious, so he made up fake table to prove he's at least as good as I am. Oh, how chldish...

It's up to everyone to chose the correct one ;)

I'm sorry for off-topic crap, but I've just lost 100BB, so need to do somehing...

edit: right after posting this shit my Aces got rivered by 85s hitting trips

I liked 3rd too, but #2 seems to be true (even it was really impossible 2 hours ago), after my today's "session"...

And no, #4 is not possible! You can be better than me, but because simply I'm too good, you must be godlike!

I might be going for 100k Strategypoints in July, and I want to be able to beat 6-max by that time :P
