      Hello everyone,

Downswings are part of every poker player's career, and everyone has to get used to it. But to beginners it can be quite scary. I thought it would be interesting to build a list of quick and objective downswing (and upswing) reports just to have a wide notion of what is possible within poker.

It seemed reasonable to organise the posts with this info:

1 - Limit and Strategy you play (BSS, SSS...), time experience (how long you've been playing for real, I mean studying and following the strategy), how many hands you have played in your career (at least a rough estimate).

2 - Downswing length in days, downswing length in hands played

3 - BB/100 hands and total BB (win/loss, in this case definitely loss) overall.

4 - How much of it in % do you attribute to leaks in your game?

5- General remarks - let's try to keep it short, and no whining!

** Please don't post sample hands here, let's keep it easy to read!

      I'll start with mine.

      1 - NL25 - SSS, 4 months, aprox 80K hands.

      2 - Downswing length: 45 days, 35K hands

      3 - -0,91bb/100hands, -320bb total

      4 - I attribute 10-15% to bad plays.

5 - I have been reviewing my hands constantly, posting in the forum and analysing other hands, reading articles and going to live coachings from time to time. There are leaks to be fixed but it's clear to me that much of this is due to unfortunate variance.
