I am tossing AQ away preflop to the 3-bet unless I have a read that says SB is a maniac who might 3-bet with small pockets or AJ-.

If you call you commit to having to play as though you have the nuts on an A-high flop, so im going broke as played.

Against an unknown villian i'm also mucking the hand preflop.

The problem with this hand is that you won't get much money out of pockets if you hit an A but you will pay off KK,AA,AK if you hit a Q or pay off AA and AK if you hit an A. This means you don't have much implied odds because villian is just going to fold KK and other pockets on an A high flop. But you will often loose against his monsters.

Unless you have a good read that villian is 3betting light i muck this hand and wait for better situations to get all my money in.
