      LOST half of starting capital in one day (9 hrs), but then got it back (+/-) main problem?

      - unnoticable playing for fun loosing money and thinking (now ill get a fullhouse on flop)?
      - 2much time playing ?
      - first time played without SSS, then started with taxes and WON it all back
      - smth else?

      and yeah, would be nice if someone could tell me how to calm down if some dude is having AA 3 times in a row


      p.s no, not nolife, just a day off @ work :P

      Play by the artciles + watch videos + post hands + join coachings = pofit!

      And stick to the BRM! That's the most important advice I can give.

      Stick to BRM. This can't be emphasized enough. If you're relatively new to the game, it's best to stick to the charts strictly until you fully understand every detail of every action that the chart tells you to do. This takes months, don't expect to be playing in Vegas in a year.

      About calming yourself down, remember that just because the opponent won the last 20 pots doesn't mean he has any less chance to win this one, neither does it give you any better chance to win. What also helps against bad calls is looking at the board and thinking of the worst hand the opponent might have that beats you. If you got AJ and the board is Q-J-5, you can be beat by a hand like Q2. Pick your spots, you're never forced to invest anything.
