Villain's (11/8, AF: 5; hands 85) line does not have sense preflop. Can I call preflop?

Post flop play? I would like to check behind since flop is very dry. But I decided to bet (1/2 pot size bet) because If I missed, I would want to easily buy the pot. And to make a notice: do not make such move on me since if you make it and check to me, I bet with anything (trying to represent a king) and push you out of the pot).

After he raises, I can just call since the pot is built sucessfully and his remaining stack will very likely go in on the turn or river.

Limp/3bet from UTG from such a player is AA/KK 90+% of the time. You cant really call, not to mention it is a bigish reraise.
After you hit your set on the flop, its pretty much straightforward. Bet if checked to, call a reasonable bet and get it in on the turn.
After he raises it actually doenst matter if you shove it on the flop or turn, the money is going in anyway.

      Best regards,
