      Hello,

I am trying to get in on flop because it's very drawy and we are OOP, so 3bet on flop.

      Best regards,
      Rensu

I don`t see any point in just calling that flop. I would just shove there as you can`t get away if opponent already has you beat but he will call your shove with worse given he might put you on a draw. If board gets even more ugly you can`t get any more value from worse

Did not want to shove because I thought I might be beat, but could not properly put villain on a hand.

Did not put him on flush or straight, but maybe a draw which he would not fold or 2 pair.

Hence I went for pot control trying to keep it small. Managed to keep 1/4 BI out of the pot.

If you put him on a draw or two pair which he would not fold SHOVE. :)

I just don`t see any reason to go for pot control here. If he has you beat he has you beat if he doesn`t and you shove he will call you almost every time because of all the draws out there he can put you on. On the other hand if you decide just to call any A , K , 9 or heart would be an action killer , and the board pairing would also mean lost value from any kind of draws he might have

Consider how drawy is board I think you should just 3-bet flop to 8$ and shove turn if it is blank.
N o need to give free cards on that board and if you´re beat, then likely you have 30% equity, but a lot of times, you´re ahead there.
