Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      $0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (7 handed)

      Known players:
      BB(Hero):
      $1.95
      MP1:
      $7.45
      MP2:
      $2.00
      MP3:
      $2.10
      CO:
      $1.94
      BU:
      $2.27
      SB:
      $15.21

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9, T.
MP1 calls $0.10, 4 folds, SB calls $0.05, Hero checks.

      Flop: ($0.30) 5, 6, T (3 players)
SB bets $0.14, Hero folds, MP1 folds, SB gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $0.30.

I often get in these situations of freeplay where I get top pair with a mediocre kicker, and I don't know what to do, this is just one example I've got loads of it
fold is a good decision here ?

      Good fold.

This kind of hands will usually lead you to losing money to a better hand and besides pot is so small it's not worth taking risks with mediocre hands. Just stick to the strategy and play TP with J kicker or better.

      Hello,

I'd also prefer to fold in such situation, no point to risk with your money. But if you have some good reads on the opponent then it's possible to Call here.

      Best regards,
      Rensu

      Hi kourou,

Only play TP GK (Jack kicker+) to be on the safe side in Freeplays. You only invested 1bb in the pot so why risk your whole stack for just one?

What do you mean by "you only invested 1BB in the pot"? It doesn't seem like he invested anything.

      about you're second hand:

why fold here? the pot is 50, he is betting only 10 and you have postion with top pair. you may as well float at least once with this small bet!

      @ hand #2:

I c/f it all the way. If you had position on MP3 you might call and see what he does on the river, but since you don't have position it's a c/f all the way.

You never know what is going to happen on the River and so your A5o is not really showdown worthy since you dont have position :)
