I would check the river here and then call the small bet or fold to big one.

Hehe yeah... my flop bet is too low.

All I saw was a dry board and was like, k don't need that much its dry, no draws. Then the 6 came.. and I thought... would you look at that, a draw completed. River just made it worse haha.

6 completes ONLY gutshots. And you can bet for value too y'know, it's not all about protection ^^

The 10% or so of his range that beats you as opposed to the 90% of his range that you beat?

lol don't be results oriented :)

Of course not.. hence the 3$ into 4.4$ pot....
I never bet pot in general because then all my bluffs would have to bet pot too. Its my standard value bet, don't see the point in betting more then 3/4 pot on these stakes.

Not true. So many loose passive fish at these stakes that just aren't reading your betsize. It's not recommended at higher stakes but at the micros I've found adjusting my bet size based on my hand strength EXTREMELY profitable. The simple truth is that players at these limits aren't exploiting you. at least not enough to make bet size adjustments improfitable.

if you think you ran into someone decent enough to exploit you, either start using a "standard" against him or reverse-exploit him and start betting half pot with good hands and full pot when you miss.

Of course the higher you move up the more you gotta phase these adjustments out :)
