hi there. i am playing turbos sngs at ft and i ve noticed the big different blind structure (when i was attending to a coaching) between ft and pokerstars.the blinds increase every 3 min at ft while at pokerstars every 5 if i am not mistaken makes the avg time of finishing a sng like 25 mins at ft where at pokerstars is like 40mins. so my question now :D does the different blind structure affect the variance and the edge of the hero ?

      Hi Schris7,

Although the blind level increases much faster on fulltilt, the blinds increase by less each time, ftp's go 15/30 - 20/40 - 25/50 - 30/60 - etc, whereas stars are 10/20 - 15/30 - 25/50 - 50/100, so they both take 15 mins to get to 50/100... at 24 mins ftp's blinds are up to 100/200, and 25 mins stars reach 100/200... so up till then they are both similar. Hope this helps :)

A tourney at FT definitely does not take 25 mins to finish. Unless you mean those SUPER TURBOS where you already start the tourney in push or fold..
My set of 16 almost always takes exactly 1 hour. I don't have the Pokertracker open right now but I think one turbo SNG usually runs for about 45-50 minutes at Full Tilt.. This is true for 6.50$ and 12$. Higher stakes with more competent players might take longer, SNG full of donkeys playing ATC might obviously finish faster..
