In fact, villain called with nothing, had a weak flush draw on flop and hit it on the river. However, at what point should I give up this hand, if at all? Villain going to showdown with rubbish - 50% of time.

I'd give up pre-flop really. Q8o is not such a good hand for stealing imo, and villain doesn't seem to be tight enough for an ATS.

      Tim64,

This guy in the BB is way to loose to be stealing from. His stats indicate the standard ultra loose passive player, who will never fold. After you do raise on the button though and he calls, your continuation bet is fine. You've gotta be done with the hand on the turn though, you are almost always beat here.

      Edit:

If you really are certain that this guy is going to showdown with nothing 50% of the time, then your play on the turn is fine. I'd definitely fold this PF knowing he will never fold though.

      Hi Tim,

Only steal if you are certain BB gives up his blinds often enough (Requirements: No high VPIP/PFR, >80% fbb2steal etc.etc.)

As played, it is tricky with Q8o since it is very marginal but as soon as you hit toppair, I would play it just like you
