I waited 5 hours to have the hands in the CORRECT POSSITIONS and lost my patience with this and i just started to play in multiple tables and i lost all my 50$ .. SSS strategy is for ppl who really have patience for 3 4 days to win 2 3 $ i think..... and u have to stay 8 9 hours a day for those 2 3 $.. is toooooo much !....

SSS should teach u patience which is a basic element in poker. If u can't be patient and all u want is action when u gamble with ur money then I suggest u go to a casino and play roulette or something ...

      Hello Ciduletz,

Poker is about patience. People who aren't patient will not be able to succeed in poker in the long run.

Poker is also about bankroll management. That means you play on limits that you can afford to play on with the given bankroll. For your $50 bankroll this is currently NL10 with 2$ stacks - but there are SSS players who started with $50 and are now playing SSS on NL5000 or higher. For them every stack is $1,000. So if they win 2 stacks after a 3-4 hours of playing that is $2,000.

Yet in order to get there they spent many hours building their bankroll and practising long-term oriented thinking.

      Best regards

It's not that bad if he keeps playing poker you know. I mean he'll lose it all in a casino or on poker, doesn't matter where he plays ;) . Just if he plays poker we get to get his monies :) .

Now seriously, I advise you not to play poker if you can't be patient as it's a must. You could just deposit 1000$ and play for a lot of money but your knowledge of poker is way too bad for that so you'd probably lose all that as well. Just stay away from the poker if you have no discipline or work on getting discipline... By the way SSS can be quite fun 24 tabling. And oh I don't understand the purpose of the topic, it's in the beginners questions and it's some wierd whine/gambool topic? I really don't get it.

You can deposit as much money as much times as you won't but if you want follow advices you got from experienced players in this topic, sooner or later you're gonna lose everything you deposited.

No, that's not what I'm saying. First you need to chose why you want to play poker:

      1. You have enough money to spare so you don't mind losing 100$ on 200$ per month on poker. You like the game as it takes your stress off and you play it just for fun. In this case you need absolutely no education, just play it the way that makes it fun for you and enjoy your hobby.

      2. You want to become a winning poker player. In this case there is no other way than to be prepared to invest quite a lot of your time in poker knowledge which consists not only of strategies, but also your ability to control yourself. If you think you're too weak as a person to do that, then yes - it's better for you to quit poker right now.

But in the end - there are several players on this site that busted their bankroll for the first few times not following the basic rules and are now very succesful players who learned from their own mistakes. So there is no reason you couldn't become one. There is just a matter of price you'll pay for that. :)

      Hello Ciduletz,

Its good to see that you are thinking about improving. I can only recommend our TAF program which is a nice to tool with which to rebuild your bankroll (just check my signature for the link).

Poker requires a lot of work & effort on perfecting your game - the way to the top is paved with lots of learning & slow bankroll building. Once you are a true expert however it is a great tool for making money.

Yeah Soy ... the 50$ i lost.. is a very good lesson for me.. i saw all the mistakes.. that i did.. and i will never to them again. i`ll stick with SSS strategy and play for max 1 table for 2 3 weeks until i`m familiar with it. I`ll tell my sister and my sis boyfriend about Pokerstrategy.com or even my GF lol .. but if they dont want to learn and have patience... i`ll be forced to deposit 50$ into my account. Thank you all for advices..i really appreciate.. and YES i really like POKER and all RTS video games.. and YES i want to have serios income from poker..

Hi Ciduletz...just thought I'd chip in here and introduce myself to the forum at the same time.

I've only been playing the sss for a couple of days myself but have some free time at the moment and have played 4k hands. Initially i wasn't sticking entirely to the strategy and, as a result, was losing $$ steadily. I stopped...printed off the sss handout and stuck to it rigidly. Now I am slowly but surely making a profit and am $12 up on the original $50. Patience and discipline is the key here as we are learning some fundamental basics of poker play. It is difficult though and I still occasionaly tilt and donk off a buy in when i should be laying down my cards. On the whole though I am folding plenty of hands that in the past would have cost me.

Take your time with this and enjoy the learning process!

On the other side - knowing SSS strategy and players' ranges you very exactly put them on a certain range and can use that in your advantage. However, if Primzi would see this thread, he would tell you to wait with that advanced strategy until you more experience and I would agree with with him. :)
