      Known players:

      0.25/0.5 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.67 by

Preflop: Hero is BU with A:spade: , 7:spade:
4 folds, MP3 calls $0.50, CO folds, Hero calls $0.50, SB folds, BB checks.

      Flop: ($1.75) 4:spade: , K:diamond: , A:diamond: (3 players)
      BB checks, MP3 bets $1.75, 2 folds.

      Final Pot: $3.50

Raise pf? If so, what if he donks flop or raises my cbet?
On flop he bets pot oop so I figure he has me beat.

      Raise to isolate villain preflop.

If you raise, BB folds, villain calls, and donks in the flop - depends on how big will his donkbet be. But considering his total AF, I'd usually fold, sometimes call to reevaluate turn - if he was holding the hand you can beat, and was checking where he stands, he won't donk turn for sure.

why do you see monsters on weak villians.
I'd raise pf, sicne you have position, you often take pot down pf and don't have to play in 3 (4)-way pot.
      Folding there is fine
Passive players mostly c/r flop with made hand (so that means two pair+) and you can play accordingly.
They would mostly lead with one pair hand (or bluffs or draws) and would often fold if you raise.
