      Hello everybody!

Allow me to copy/paste the introduction I used some months ago!

      What did I already do?
Started out the end of November 2008 on the ipoker network, by creating an account at titanpoker. Why I choose this site? On poker.com it was ranked number one. Pretty shortsighted? Agreed.

I decided to deposit a once-in-a-lifetime € 20 to that site, and start playing ubermicrolevels (NL2). I got a nice bonus from titan worth around € 16 so my starting br was € 37. As you can guess, the newbie in me was put behind bars and my ego took over. I have to admit, I was beating the NL2 pretty hard and won some euro's. That 'grinding' went good for some days, but then one night I lost 3 made hands in a row by amazing lucktards and I went on a tilt, the nightmare of every pokerplayer. Half decent players know that's the moment to stop playing, but I magically decided to win that money back in a NL10 headsup. Of course I lost, I lost bigtime, I lost 2 BI. I continued my bad streak and tilting behaviour and in as little as 2,3k hands, I lost my entire stack, with the exception of € 0,24, which is obviously too little to even play at those microstakes.

Now we take a little break of about five to six week and return on the 22nd of January 2009.

Then I came around this site, which offered a whooping $50 starting captial. The only thing I needed to do was to pass a stupid quiz. Atleast, that's what I thought it'd be. Of course I didn't take the time to read up and just took the quiz. I failed terribly.

On the second try it was bullseye and I choose partypoker to start my journey with. As little as 26 hours later I noticed my inbox had a message saying my bonus was deposited. I was thrilled and started playing right away.

I had an amazing first night where I won $19 in just over an hour. Then, an old habit kicked in. There was no doubt in my mind I could beat these beginnerstables to the moon and back again. Of course, as I know, I can't.

My bankroll stayed at around $50, but I was clearing the bonus, way faster than I'd expected. In the meanwhile I discovered Partypoker also had a site called Partybets. I tried some bets out and they paid off. Actually, it was better than paying off. I was redhot in my bets (they weren't guesses and I completely backed my bets with an analysis of the teams involved. I continued playing poker to clear those 300 partypoints quicker, but I was making money. I couldn't believe my eyes!

Well as it turned out, I still was too stubborn to see I suck at poker. The Partypoker adventure ended when I was kicked back to $1,32, which was too little to play at their 4NL tables. I lost about $100 in pokerplaying, which I recovered from succesful bets.

So, strike two, left poker for what it was for a while until the microbe bit me again. I decided to deposit $40 in Fulltilt and $45 on Gnuf poker (due to a royal rakeback deal). To cut a long story short, I lost it all on Gnuf (this time not due to bad play but due to a huge downswing, well shit happens). Fulltilt was something else, I managed to get my bankroll there up to $70. That's when it happened. The game I played didn't work anymore. I couldn't handle the 'downswing' (for the lack of a better word) and my br there dropped to a historic low of $8. Still not broke, but only 4BI for 2NL, which obviously SUCKS!

In the meantime I read about Everest Poker and their 'many to beat' players. Luckily for me a friend of mine staked me $30 to start grinding out the bonus, knowing about my past encounters with going broke. Thanks a lot Gill, I owe you (about $35 :p). So all in all, the fifth time I'm giving this a try and I decided to document my try.

      Starting bankrolls
      Everest: $30 (June 6) // $118,47 (June 19)
      Fulltilt: $8,06 (June 19)
      Party: $1,32 (June 19)

      Goals for June
These are some goals I set for myself before I started grinding on EverestPoker

      Nice,

I've already succeeded not to update my blog in nine days. Way to go nivekii!

First things first. A smallish update on my lacrosse experience. Last week we went to a little tournament in lille to play Mainz, Lille and Paris. We los all four games, but only one by big numbers. Scores were 5-17, 2-6, 7-8 and 11-14. I even managed to get on the board with an assist. Not that easy of a task considering I'm the goalie.

Just yesterday we played a friendly game in Essen, Germany. It was a very good game and the scoreline was 12-12 after 80 minutes of play. Normally there is no such thing as a tie in lacrosse, but due to time restrictions we decided to call it a draw. We played our best game ever!

Let's talk poker now. Despite my best intentions to follow a strict brm, and running good on 2NL I decided to switch to 10NL. First session went dramatically with my first hand losing my BI.

He played any two, did not put him on a set (he'd shove ant pp) and I just knew he didn't hit his flush. I put him on QJ+, as you can see, Q2o is the nuts.

I stopped playing for a while, being $17 down and all, and decided to 2NL my way back. I did and I managed to win $10, being $7 down for the day. I also cleared $1,5 of my bonus, making the damage acceptable. Had a 30ptbb/100 session yesterday on 10NL, so my bankroll stands at over $150. I will most likely not make my 20k hands this month, but whatever comes close will do too.

I also took a shot at 2NL on Partypoker with my $1.32. Played +- 350 hands where I ran at 27.9 ptbb/100. Bankroll there is now $5.25.

10NL is so testing my determination to stay there. I'm almost down 4BI over 2k hands.

Blogging really isn't one of my qualities so it seems :D In this 3 weeks I went from $156 back to $70 on Everest, played a bit there, kept break even, withdrew $73, deposited on Betfair (interesting $1,500 bonus, in parts of $10) and been grinding since then.

Recently decided to give 6-tabling a chance, making it possible to play 400 hands / hour, which is perfect for the clearing of the bonus!

For the first time ever, I'm still not busto after 1.5 months of playing and the $30 I deposited is now a solid $125.

So yesterday I lost around 4 BI (nothing to worry because the day before that I won 4 BI). Today started out pretty bad, dropping to -$10, but I kept on playing and tried to play my a-game. This is how I ended today (and yes I realize I'm screwing up the layout!):

      * Bankroll: $155
      * Hands played: 10,059

The first $10 of the total of $1,500 should be released tomorrow since I'll hit the first 400 points mark then. Always nice to know you're getting 2.5 stacks for free :p

Wicked, after my awesome day of hitting everything better than my opponents, today was the other way around. Lost about $20 after 1k hands (7 tables 4NL, 2 tables 10NL) and decided to quit for the day :) No point in playing on when you're not feeling good playing.

On a sidenote, after 11,110 hands on Betfair I'm expecting to hit the 400 points mark (FINALLY) for the first share of $10 from the bonus. Clearing really slowly I'm thinking of moving to another room with a more interesting bonus (and who knows what other benefits). At this point it's my goal to increase the br for solid 25NL play, so anything is better than Betfair at the moment :)

Decided to cash out on Betfair, because of no real reason to stay there to be honest :) I don't have to do it for the bonus, or the rakeback (which is deducted anyways).

Looking for a new pokerroom to play at, guess I'll play for my HEM license now :)

      Hi 'everybody',

I was looking for a new pokersite to sign up to and I found one. This month I'll be playing on pokertime (microgaming skin) to try and clear cool bonusses.

      Bonusses on pokertime:

      - You can get two bankrollboosts per month for playing and earning their points. Since I'm on their lowest level I can 'only' get a maximum of 2 x $25 = $50
      - Their top 500 players get a share of a $20k prizepool. I calculated that I can gather up around 900 - 1K points which would get me in the top 30, giving me around $70 ('worst' case)
      - via the affiliate I signed up through I get 2k of the affiliate's points, which gives me a HEM pro license ($80) and $25
      - a first deposit bonus of 100%, in my case $130
      - Received a free $10 from the pokersite

Making a nice total of (potential profits excluded) of $285 cashbonusses + a $80 worth HEM license.

Traffic is to cry for but I can 4-table 4NL / 10NL quite good in the evenings, so should be fine!
