      check, check,

I had no idea what should be the right play at river. River card sucks so hard, and I don't see much worse hands that will call (maybe some A or two pairs, but according to his play two pairs seem unlikely to me) if I bet myself, but I'm not folding here against him either, so I decided to check call hoping for him to be aggressive and try a bluff.

On flop you should bet more like potsize cause the board is very wet (0.95$)
On turn the 5 doesn't help a lot of hands so you're probably ahead, bet pot for protection (2.4$)
On river, check/call against a small bet (less than 1/2 pot) check/fold against bigger bet( more than 1/2 pot) cause a lot of hands now beats you.

I think he rather has there Ax than some sort of draw/two pair that he deicdes to shove on the river
I´d just put him all-in- he would call with two pair and Ax there a lot of times
