I was just waiting for the blinds to come round before leaving the table and got dealt qq. I realize how monumentally stupidly I played it on the flop but what should I have done preflop after the raise?

      Preflop: Hero is MP2 with Q:diamond: , Q:heart:

BB bets $1.40, Hero raises to $2.80, BB raises to $4.20, Hero folds, BB gets uncalled bet back.

I go broke with QQ for halfstack Preflop. If you feel nervous you can tighten up the range though to KK+ For me its actually villain dependant what I do.

      Hi pondlife78,

      As a shorstacker never OpenRaise/Call a 3bet. Your only options are either OpenRaise/Fold to a 3bet OR OpenRaise/Shove

This is because you have 8bb~ like left when you get 3betted to 12bb if you raise 4bb. Then I just go all-in preflop rather than seeing a flop and having to put my 8bbs in the middle on a A-high board or K-high board

Since you have a 46bb stack, I would normally 4bet to $2.5 thus I shove here. You are way ahead against his 3bet range with QQ ;)

      Best regards,
      Gerv
