      $0.1/$0.25 No Limit Holdem
      9 players
      Converted at

      UTG ($14.97)
      UTG+1 ($25.35)

      MP1 ($31.57)
      MP2 ($15.56)
      MP3 ($17.62)
      CO ($3.66)
      BTN ($25.00)
      Hero (SB) ($25.40)
      BB ($36.00)

      Pre-flop: ($0.35, 9 players) Hero is SB K:diamond: A:diamond:
      1 fold, UTG+1 raises to $1, 5 folds, Hero raises to $3.50, 1 fold, UTG+1 calls $2.50

      Flop: T:spade: J:spade: 5:diamond: ($7.25, 2 players)
      Hero ??

Is this just a standard c-bet to $6? I see his range hitting more than >50%

Shouldn't this be a standard pre-flop instashove for you, Gerv? :D

I prefer not cbetting this flop, as like you said, he hits this board pretty well.

The only hand he's folding here is AK or if he decided to call 88 or 99 (but that's unlikely). And if he does have AK, he's definitely not folding A :spade: K :spade:

I think a c/f is safer here. I usually tone down my cbetting frequency in 3bet pots, as opp range is a lot tighter.

Of course, vs some people you can just cbet anything =)

I just remembered something I forgot to mention. I'll often flat AK OOP vs tight UTG raiser. EVEN on a SH table I do it from time to time.

The reason for this is that when you get called and you do hit, you're never stacking off a worse hand, since all PP will fold due to the overcards on the table. (Unles it's KK+ on a K high board or AA on A high board, obv. But then he has you crushed when he holds these hands.)

If you flat, you might get a ton of value from lower A's and even if he doesnt have an A, he'll always throw in some cbets, since A high and K high boards are next to always cbet.

when yuou 3-bet pf, then you should c-bet on that board, because your likely 3-bet range utg is JJ(TT)+/AK, so he won´t raise too often and he might fold some medium pp-s that he called ip.
