I don't see much sense on your river bet. Which worse hands are calling? Which better hands are folding? Both answers are none, so I'd c/fold on the river.

It was a blockbet but I was wondering whether I should have made it smaller. Villain is a tad bluffy and tends to bet versus an opponent who has missed a bet on two streets. I didn't want to put myself in a silly situation making a hero call for more money than I should so i blocked. If I make it small he can then make some very loose calls himself and only raises hands that beat me so I have a simpler decision.

I wouldn't have bet smaller, $2 on a $5.3 pot is already small but its ok, beting less is like screaming for a raise, and we don't want that.

If villain tends to bluff river vs 2 missed streets, then how much does he usually bet? If he bets half pot, then c/calling would be better (you still risked almost half pot on the river if u had the worse hand) if he bluffs pot size, then I can see the sense of your blockbet :)

if player likes to float, then imo you should bet turn for value and c/c river
as played: betting river is ok.
