      If you think he can pay you off with a 7 or maybe with a 9, althou he shouldn't be calling you on the flop with 9x, then I guess you could make a valuebet on the river. Depends a bit on your reads on the villain. Against a loose player I'd probably make a river bet. But taking the free showdown isn't wrong here I think.

      This is somewhat thin against an unknown since you don't know how he would likely play TPNK. If you bet you should make something small enough to get looked up by 7x, 88, TT, probably half pot is the maximum when i have no read on the guy. I think both play are fine, valuebetting is a bit higher variance against an unknown but certainly not wrong.
