Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.1/$0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (7 handed)

      Known players:
      MP3:
      $26.80
      CO:
      $25.35
      BU:
      $24.65
      SB:
      $24.75
      BB:
      $23.95
      MP1(Hero):
      $4.30
      MP2:
      $46.60

      Preflop: Hero is MP1 with J, J.
Hero raises to $1.00, 3 folds, BU calls $1.00, 2 folds.

      Flop: ($2.35) K, 4, 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.50, BU calls $1.50.

      Turn: ($5.35) A (2 players)
Hero bets $1.80, BU calls $1.80.

Do I give up? The pot is big and I have little left in my stack. Looking back I want to give up really.

I also push flop directly here as c-bet - (I use this as a rule of thumb> push oop when c-bet =40%+ of my stack)

Yeah, this is a good rule of thumb from Dandycal and you can always justify it thus:

if someone reraised you all in preflop, you wouldn't fold your JJ (at lease not with a normal stack size) so just because there are overcards on the flop it shouldn't stop you making your cbet even if you are sometimes beaten (and you may even sometimes get a better hand like QQ to fold). If you just push it will stop you being floated, too. Which is pretty annoying imo.

      +1

Giving up the hand on the flop when you're heads-up because there is only 1 overcard is too weak. So, c-bet is mandatory, but since standard c-bet would be 50%+ of your stack, the rule dandycal mentioned comes into play. Pushing flop is most +EV.
