      Against an unknown you can't play that hand any differently, as continuing would require some kind of read on his turn aggression to justify calling down.

      Stick to the general rule that when you get raised on the turn your top pair isn't good until you get a hint that your opponent is behaving erratically or has a distorted view of hand values ("goes broke with any pair", "overplays TPNK", that kind of thing).
