      hey ps peeps

im starting this blog as a motivation to see the numbers go up.
i have been playing online for a year now, no major stuff just for fun.
i am in need of some cash so im gonna grind like hell.

i play HU sngs on stars, i cashed out and have 100$ left.

      let's see how i do

      hope you'll enjoy this blog

      played a short session
my BR was 98, i played 7 games out of 4 ppl.
      i won 3 ( i think) and now my BR is 127$

i lose a LOT of games when i raise out of position after a limp, the donks call and hit some kind of miracle flop like 3 of a kind or stright with pretty weird cards (last game he had 35o and he called my raise)

i shouldn't lose any of these games, the villains just have no clue how to play.
other than that i played pretty solid, made some nice calldowns with high cards.
i'll start posting some intersting hands. the problem is it's pretty stright forward at the 5$ level and basicly nothing special happens.
hopefully i'll move up quickly :)

U should use the hand converter so ur hands will become way easier to read,it is in the strategy section.

      Cheers

played another session that started horribly!
dropped like 6-7 BI to start it.
then i entered 2 "big" tournies. 16 and 32 players.
in the 32 players i got 4th which is very disapointing. the guy hit every card and he was a calling station so i couldn't bluff him.
next time when i play against a guy like that, im just gonna wait for the right oppurunity, take my time, and beat him.

i took first in the 16 player game with a very fun final table.
he kept on raising the btn. so i started playing back at him. starting stacks were 12k, and i had 15k in no time. he raised the btn i had AT and re-raised him he shoved and i made the call, he turned over 44 and his hand held. no biggie.
after that i just got some good cards that held and came back to 10k doubling up with AA once and just chipping up.
next hand i was on the btn w/ AJs, i raise standred 3xBB and he re-raises me. i thought about shoving because after so much play between us i was pretty sure i was over him (better hand) but i also noticed he fires without hitting or anything so i just calld. flop comes Q high no FD. he bets big i call, turn another Q, he bets half his stack which equals about half the pot too.
i shoved him and he shows A6 and the river is a blank and i take it down.

finally i won on of those, now i gotta win out of 32 ppl.

managed to turn profit luckily because the start was awfull. i had no patience and kept making stupid mistakes. i also won another tourny out of 4 ppl to end the session and prove to myslef that i can win lol

      BR 213$

      (sry bout the long post)

it was in the final table of the 16 players
      here it is:

      PokerStars Game #31119582124: Tournament #183786587, $5.00+$0.25 Hold'em No Limit - Match Round IV, Level I (80/160) - 2009/08/01 9:51:55 ET

Seat 2: toby71au (big blind) showed [As 4h] and won (23680) with a straight, Ace to Five

the hand converter isn't working for me...no idea why
anyways im gonna run this flop on a poker calculater, wanna see the percentage.

after the flop i was 65.76% ahead of him. sucks
next time ill hit for sure

anyways this session started by me making a big mistake against a donk as usuall. i have no patience \=
than i won a tourny out of 4 and 2nd place out of 16.
      br 232$

i need to win more tournies out of 4 ppl and do longer sessions.
      till next time

      did another short session
it started on a win and quickly went downhill
i kind of got bored and started doing some funny stuff
raising every pot, shoving with nothing
so i lost a couple of games for nothing
that's also when i called it a day

      br 217$

p.s. im still having trouble against calling station donks! it's pretty frustrating because they are supposed to be the easiest to beat

      didnt take a break rofl

im addicted what can i do
the session started bad but ended ok i guess
i was down to 160 and went all the way up to 215 by winning a 16 person tourny and taking 8th in a 10$ out of 32 ppl.

i want to get the starting capital on full tilt so i can clear the bonus and get some PS points so i can read some more advanced articles.

i hope you haven't bust already! this blog inspired me to try the Heads up SNG's at stars. Im now already upto the $10.50 ones, with a nice win percentage of around 68% profit of around $150 in 4 days.

I know you're playing the multi-table heads up ones, but i prefer the 1 table winner takes all and i have to say, $5 was really soft, and the $10 doesn't seem like too much a jump at the minute! got a big BRM bankroll is currently at $632 (just reloaded a little for the bonus), so won't be playing these the whole time, but at first look, played around 100 of these so far, seem rather profitable.

id be happy to discuss heads up SNG with you or anyone else for that matter, my msn is josef_wardle [at] hotmail.co.uk

obviously with the @ sign and no spaces. I'm back to SSS NL50 at the minute to clear the reload bonus, but i'll definitely be playing more of the HU Sng's
