      If you don't know anything about him it's not a mistake, you 3bet preflop and you need to show him you're not just giving it up postflop, so coupled with the times he just misses his hand with his unknown range it's fine.

      If he's a decent tag then i like just giving it up on that board, i don't think he's folding anything he called preflop with and he hit that flop hard often too, it becomes a lot less about making a point and a lot more about avoiding deadly textures.
