i joined everest a couple days ago and here is an example of what is going on there. something very wrong with the cards being dealt on the river. the fish there has been suckin out on me on the river almost every time. impossible to win. it really sickens me that the better player cant win. (the potsize bets in the example below was a result of all the suckouts on the river.. i DID NOT want to see the river.)

Still good to see that we can find fish on NL50 :)

And btw. Party Poker used to do this stuff to me .. Allin with nuts on the turn and bang :-D That is the only site I actually lost money on .. But it is not about the site of course, just coincidence

im just i bit bitter. i know its just variance and bad luck. BUT...i think i can fairly confidantly say that its not possible to become a winning player if u have alot of bad luck. because poker is alot about luck. ive been playin and learning for acouple of years now and one thing i DO KNOW. im not a lucky player. for the most part im on the other side. the daaark side :) well, i guess there is nothing to but to stop playin eventually so that one does not invest too much in to this. ill probably give it a year or so of playin and learning, to see if there will come a change eventually. now im off to buy candy. lots of it.

I went from winning player at pokerstars to looser at everest. 200$ downswing playing NL10.
There are lots of maniacs there compared to pokerstars. I was successful at stars only playing premium hands, but that doesn't work at everest. Players there don't have a problem going preflop allin with 10 2o and beating pocket aces with trash hands like that. :) And of course that causes tilt, and bigger losses.
Not a good place for new players who want to learn something. But if you are good in poker you can exploit those manics and win a lot. That's my experiences.
Also rake in HUGE. Yesterday I payed 100$ in rake 9tabling NL10.

      Cmoon =) Everest is fine..
Of course someone can experience more suck outs here..
But some other player can experience more suck outs on Stars.. Its just you cant choose where or when suck outs are coming =)

It is just variance. In last 1k hands I got 0 AA and only 3 KK, and you don't see me complaining :P . If you play vs good opponents then when they know that they are beaten they will fold, but fish call's when he has 10% eq, and sometimes he get's lucky. Just variance.

My variance at Everest lasted 6 months and 330K hands. While I was at 3ptbb/100 at Stars I was at -1.7ptbb/100 at Everest (same limits).

I quit with Everest after that.
      That was 9 months ago.
This June I started again with that site and after 20 days (52K hands) I busted my $2K roll after I lost almost every single situation where I was 90%+ to win before the river ($EV over that period: +$1580)

I must agree that EVT is rigged.
Or I just can't play anywhere out of Stars and Bwin

Well yesterday I moved to NL25 and I lost 4 BI this way :
      - all in with set on the flop -- runner runner flush is better
      - all in TPTK in a 4-bet hand with AK .. 82 high was better after the river
      - AA vs ATo preflop .. Broadway is best :-)
      - Set of 7 vs. gut shot ...

So I am moving to NL10 again :s_confused:

a hand on everst i played a couple minutes ago.. this is the problem with everest, to many DUMB players that play EV-. causing so much variance. and if u are a generally unlucky player like ME. this is not a site to play at.

im not folding anymore after my reraise. (wich he doesnt probably understand since his IQ is between 68-76) so he doesnt have foldequity.

I remember my last hand there, so standard for Everest:
I'm UTG with AA, I bets, CO raises, D goes all in, SB folds BB calls, I called it too and, surprise, CO too.
CO shows QQ, D shows KK, BB shows T7s, flop AKQ, turn 9, river J.

im also noticing that im not a big fan of playing vs these vpip70 idiots.. they limp into every pot and then call my every reraise. or even worse, they are to my left and call every preflopraise. its hard to figure out what they might be holding.
      anyone have some good tips?

omg! my bankroll is just going up and down. up and down. up and down. its impossible to find any kind of concistency in this pokerroom. every table has atleast 2 of these vpip65-85 causing huge variance and BADLUCK. im also not a big peopleperson so these dumb, incompetent idiots are really getting on my nerve. over and out
