      No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (8 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

      saw flop

      SB ($50)

      Gerv (MP2) ($50)

      Preflop: Gerv is MP2 with 9, 9
3 folds, Gerv bets $2, 2 folds, SB raises $4.75,

This sucks, he 3bets me 2.5x to $5 and I cannot really auto-call though I am still in position.

his 3bet% is literally QQ+ so if I hit a set, I go broke with it but getting 7.5:3 so 2.5:1 , I need to extract an additional $30 if I hit

      thoughts?

i would always call such a small raise here for set value, the tighter his 3bet range (3% is 99+ / AK) the better as ideally you want him to have AA/KK as there is more chance of u getting paid if u do hit your set, then if he has AK, as his to hit then or JJ-QQ where he might shut down to overcards.

More importantly what is your PFR and fold to 3bet Stat? if your PFR & fold3bet is quite high then there is also a higher chance that he is just making a move.

Either way i think to such a small raise its an easy call.

      3% if AK+,JJ+

Furthermore my stats are invalid since I only played 3k hands on the limit (Stars) and the meta is that big, I don't think we barely played a hand against each other.

      I play 14/12/3.4% and Fold 2 3bet stat is unreliable with a <1k sample

well pokerstove hand ratings (equilator) 3% is 99+ / Ak, so i guess it depends on what ur using and he only has 2k hands anyway.

but its irrelevant as like i say the tighter his 3bet range the better as you have a better chance of getting paid in u hit ur set. Ideally you want him to have AA or KK so given the small amount to call instead of being scared of him having a monster you should be hoping that he has.

So literally with PPs, you would call 2.5x 3bets as well besides the min3bets ?

Ofcourse if both stacks are 100bb right?

against nits yes, against more aggressive players I´d also call potsize 3-bets and play postflop consider that I´d stack off at some cases
