Hello I am thedahl and have been on PokerStrategy for quite some time. I made around $500 off TAF and $400 off poker playing the SSS and withdrew all of my cash. I never played poker yet was still on PokerStrategy to collect money every month or so.

I decided that I wanted to start back up and play for fun but still make money. That is when shorthanded occurred to me. It is fun, you get to use your brain, and you can make money! Mind you I started with $40 for my second time so it is a slow process at NL2. Anyways, I read the articles, watched videos, and tried to learn shorthanded the best I could. I am now up to $100.35 and that is my starting bankroll for NL5. Most of my winnings were on a different computer and therefor I only have a graph for the last 2629 hands.

I made this blog to help me improve my game and to force me to analyze my play. Hopefully you all will analyze it too!
      :f_confused: Starting bankroll: $100.35
      :s_cool: Current bankroll: $115.88

I would rather go HU with TJo and on nl5 you will always get callers behind you(specially if u bet 3BB), so either raise 4BB or wait until you are in CO/BU to do this. You dont want ppl behind you to call with QT, KT, AT, QJ, KJ, AJ, TT and have you dominated oop.

      Flop: fine
Turn: Bet more, for protection against a FH on the river(you never know), and for value from a K, A or 2pair hand. Action will prob stop if a T or J drops too.
      River: nh

The reason I didn't push the turn was because I was playing him for value. If he had 3 of a kind he wasn't going to fold anyways whether he got a full house or not. I wanted him to make a move on the river so I could push over and if he was bluffing I'd get an extra $1 or so. I bet 3BB all the time unless theres a limper. Do you think 4BB would be wiser?

      Thanks for commenting! :)

When someone reraises you on turn in multiway pot on such board he's not folding.

I don't mind turn call because if you rr BU folds most of the time and if you call he also might get involved. Just bet more .40 to .50 would b ok, if they have something worth a call they won't fold no matter if it's .40 or .30 so you are leaving some value by betting less.

As for preflop besizing, when i played nl5 i raised 4x + 1 per limper because they call way too much preflop so why not charge them more?
