Introduction

      Hi,
Maybe i'm the only one from mauritius there.Mauritius is a tropical island in the indian ocean regrouping every race in the world lol.I have started to play poker on Facebook and watch WSOP 08 and after some time decided to play real poker but as i'm jobless i could not play then one day i decided to search the web about free money poker and i find this site.

When i just started real money poker i played 10 % bankroll SnG and was bankrupt lol Playing poker on facebook and playing with real money was so different was lost. And then when i registered to this site and was forced to read the article to pass the quiz i find myself learning a lot about poker and said to myself that i was a complete beginner.

Thank to Poker Strategy for showing me how to play tight and be selective in my hand and how to stop playing too much draws.

      Summary of my poker career

I have a poker account on CDpoker,Titan poker,Mansion poker and Full tilt poker.

Will play mainly on Full tilt poker for now until november where i will have to play on Mansion poker to clear my bonus.

I tried SSS on fult tilt and loss $220 from biggest bonus ever and free bankroll and now decided to switch to BSS.For now BSS was successful i got only 1 losing day over 5 .With SSS i had a 100% losing session rate lol.

      How will i play?

I will play mainly BSS on full tilt.

      My rule book -

Well, GL at that. I will read your blog. It seems interesting as I am thinking of going pro also. And man, 16-tabling 6 hours a day? You must be a new terminator. :s_cool: :f_confused: :s_o:

      Lol thanks :D !

Let's both try our best to become great poker pros ^_^!!!!

16 table is easier to play than 2 table xD !

In 2 table i want too bluff to much and i get pawned.

By playing 16 table i bluff less and concentrate more.No more watching tv while playing poker or reading comics lol.

For now i got a profit of $12 on Nl2 in 5 days plays by playing BSS.

I will follow your blog too.

Hope one day we will both play in WSOP main even on the final table :P

This is my ultimate goal xD

Hi cpw, we already meet quite often in the Full Tilt thread :D How's it going?

Just wanted to wish you well with your blog and with poker in general.

My only initial thoughts would be that ignore everything you learnt in Facebook Poker, real poker as you have already indicated yourself is totally different and the standard of play will be a lot tougher than Facebook.

I think perhaps that you might be multi-tabling a little too much too soon as well maybe? I always think its easier to work on your game, getting good reads and plugging any leaks etc when doing less tables at a time. It's easy to build up the tables once your 100% happy with your game.
Just a thought, don't take it the wrong way, my own game is far from perfect :P

      Liking your Royal Flush, nice.

Good luck buddy, look forward to reading your progress.

      Best regards,

      Bart

      Good luck.
About your royal flush hand ,
I don't think you should have paid on that raise.
KTs in MP1 position facing a raise from the BB having more players after you is a very very bad move (imho) , BB range in the good scenario is that you are dominated by KA or facing monster hand like QQ-AA (which was the case).
more over , on the flop you called a raise for gut shot...

Anyway , good luck with going pro. :D

      lol yup xD .

But you are right too much table may kill me someday but by playing so much table i'm forced to focus.

here is my result after switching from SSS to BSS :

My goal for playing NL is to get 1 BI per day xD !

It is not much but if i can get 1 Bi/day + rakeback on Full tilt this will be a lot when i will reach NL50

And thank for your advice. My game is not perfect and have lot of flaws but everyday i try to correct my flaws little by little.

Every morning before starting to play i have started to see my last days hands and review the hands where i lost money this help a lot not to make the same mistake.

And maybe next week i will reach Gold member xD !!!

Lol i know it was bad play :P !

But it is full tilt poker room xD !

Every draw will hit :P when playing SSS every villain draws was hitting so it was my turn to hit a draw T_T! lol i wanted to fold but then i said to myself it is just .12c so lets just be a fish and call this for a last time xD

Thx for your review of my hand will try to play with more pot odds and outs.

Thx either reaching a poker pro level or become a fallen poker player we will see it in the next months :D :D ! Perhaps next week if i get bankrupt xD

      Cool mate.
But most important , work on ICM and range of players.
Usually a raise from late position don't equal a raise from early position... if you know what I mean :f_biggrin:

ICM is not for tournment xD ?

Lol yes i know the power of position.

A raise from early position from a tight player mean he has a strong hand :P ?

A raise from me from any position mean i have KK or AA xD !

The major flaw that i'm trying to correct is my passiveness.

Most of my hand if not all i'm playing passively and with KK AA i over-raise as i'm scared these got beaten which will result in me tilting.

Just finish a 2-3 hour session.

here is the graph (not for the 2-3h session but for the whole day) :

Ok here is mid-week and i will post a little update.

Yesterday i have decided to play NL5 and got pawned by 6 Bi which is 30$

But i learn something important with this.

Top pair top kicker is not worth going all in =.=

As 8 time with AK i lost against 2 pair with a miracle river each time lol.

But at least now i don't use all my stack with single play.

I have learnt also how to play a little aggressif - this help a lot to break even with the money lost with by being in the blinds position ^_^!

And i have watch a BSS video from hasen... xD sorry forget how to write his name and after a 4k session i'm... TIRED!

      lol

this 4k session i played quite well and made a profit of 10$ so 20$ loss in NL5 :p

I did a lot of pot control which make me lose less than expected if i have leave the villain making the raise ^___^!

I have made good decision like folding a set when the probabiliT of a set was huge!

What else i have made 200 FTP on NL5 in 1 day lol which is about $6 ^___^!!!!!!!!

Woohoo 2d got gold after 1 month of playing NL2-NL10

Will be gold for max 5 days so will have to read all the articles and watch all the gold video within these 5 days >_<!

So where i am in my pro career :P ?

      I will tell you.

This pro career is more like a fish career.

After some calculation and wanting to try i went to NL 10 where i lost 30$ so im at 80$ 2d.I am too impatient because NL2 the stake is so low it is kind of hard to make a good profit.

But i decided i will now follow a strict BRM and try not to succumb to temptation.

      Hey,

Could you show some pictures of Mauritius, a tropical sunny island ? Do I have to see your island described as a clear blue sky, sunny weather, crystal blue ocean and a lot of mademoiselle's ??

What's also fascinating to know is how a USD $ is valued against your own currency. IN other words, Calta&dandycall from Brazil can live from their poker expenses as it doesn't exceed $800. With $800 in Holland for example, you cannot survive (at least I think so)

I wish you all the best , too bad SSS didn't worked :f_cry:
      Take care & good luck!

here are some pics of mauritius taken by my sister :P

I don't like to take pictures so much so i dn't have any picture of mademoiselle for you lols

But in mauritius as we are a multiracial country you can find any type of girl that you like ^_^!White black yellow even green(if you are an alien)

Also yup $800 is about Rs26400 in mauritius which is a fortune >_<!

      A basic salary here is about $ 250 - 300.

Also the labour salary here is quite low that is why many international firms open in mauritius where they can get labour at low price. From france a lot of BPO had openned in mauritius these past years. For exemple some website from France is doing their moderation in mauritius.Or call centre also which is also present here.

That is why if i can reach NL10 and break-even i will be a poker pro in mauritius lol as it will be enough to live. As i will have about $240 rakeback which will be more than a salary for my current qualification lol.

When i will reach NL50 i will be rich xD !!!!!

SSS is not suitable for me i think. With BSS i can break-even in worse moment and make profit about every sessions - set power combine with 16 table power lol.

      here are the pics:

Uhh for information most of our beach have sand and not rock like in these foto i just took the foto from my sister's flickr xD !And she likes to take shot of monuments.

      No prob ^_^

We can say that here life is cheap for strangers but for local life is quite expensive :P Less than $300 as basic salary is very hard to live.

That why i saw poker in Mauritius is worth a lot as any gain will be multiply by 33 lol.

If you want to immigrate in mauritius you can but....

      MAURITIUS IS BORING xD !!!!

      And behind in technology.

Pc quad core not available in mauritius >_<

Here we have only beaches and food lol.

      Else nothing worth.

For me a poker pro is someone who can make a living from poker and no other work xD

So if i can play a regular break-even NL10 will be able to say to my parents "Mum dad i don't need to work i'm winning more at poker than any job that i can get with my current qualification"

lol to make this dream come true need to be discipline xD !I'm winning and break-even in NL2 but it is boring to play low stake. Each time i go and try higher stake i play with scared money and play bad =.=

So now will play a very strict game and BRM lol.

      Ahh by the way.

The national language in mauritius is English but!

We all talk Creole or french more xD !

Creole is a language that we created by mixing english indian french and other language.

Mauritius is a great place to have holidays many stars and people like our country from it hotels and beach ^_^!So come in mauritius for holidays :D ! but to immigrate to Mauritius think after some time you will be bored xD

If PS need outsourcing some day make it in mauritius :P !

You will have to pay for labour about $240 as legal rate xD

But in china it is more cheap lol but here we have the beach and girls :D !

      Woohoooo

2d i played well without flaw for once. Folding risky hand trapping nuts hand ^_^!

Making a profit of 18$ which i think is huge on NL2 lol.

      here is the graph

What is showdown winning and non-showdown winnings :s_confused: :f_confused:

Those who has mastered pot control will be always winners

Think i could make this much profit for only 1 reason :

      Table selection !!!

I have started to play with table with only 2 Short stack only and putting me on every deep stack game.

By doing so when i trap my opponents i double up :s_cool: !

In the past i was just entering any table and play against any one and i wanted to play mainly against short stack because i was scared of playing against big stack and losing my stack this was wrong now that i play against big stack my concentration is better i read the board better and fold when i don't want to enter difficult situation against a big stack.

Here is the end of my report even if no one following it xD

Ps : yesterday i have tried to play SH NL2 thinking that i could get more rakeback. But it is impossible to play SH NL2 with 16 table too quickly after 250 hands i have close all table and played FR :s_love: !

uhh impossible for me at least.

Here is my BRM and rakeback plan.

But I WONT PLAY SSS as i'm not successful with it :s_cry: :f_cry:

So i will move up a limit when i have 32 BI of the upper limit and move down when i lose 15 BI.Hope it is a good BRM if it is not i will make it more strict >_<

      Will know by playing.

And this 300$/month is my short term goal i want to reach a higher level and compete with the pro someday and my ultimate goal will be a WSOP bracelet :s_cool:

      Lol

Poker - A small number of live game but it is starting to increase. But don't want to play live because i'm not patient and live game can't be played multitable lol

Beach - During hols and weekends they are packed xD !!

Parties - always the same music and the life of a clubs here is about 6 month then they change the name and the decoration lol

Girls - here think the girls prefer tourist than locals for money :P

hmmm - Lack of activities in mauritius T_T

So my goal is to get $1000 a month so that i can travel a lot to country and visit pokerstrategist around the world :D :D !
