Is this pretty standard? I thought I had to protect against overcards and might also fold better pockets.

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.1/$0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

      Known players:
      SB:
      $25.10
      BB:
      $12.85
      UTG1:
      $25.50
      UTG2:
      $36.20
      MP1:
      $25.00
      MP2:
      $41.30
      MP3(Hero):
      $68.35
      CO:
      $24.80
      BU:
      $24.30

      Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 2, 2.
      2 folds, MP1 raises to $1.00, MP2 folds, Hero calls $1.00, 3 folds, BB calls $0.75.

      Flop: ($3.1) 4, 8, 4 (3 players)
BB checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets $2.00, BB folds, MP1 folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $3.1.

      Hi,

It's fine. 22 will get outdrawn or counterfeited by so much stuff before you see a showdown that it really has very little showdown value, so stabbing at the pot right away when nobody shows interest is ok.

Beware tho that you'll never get a pocket pair to fold there with just one bet. Maybe 33. However since MP1 would c-bet those and BB seems to be a loose halfstack fish, they probably both have nothing when they check to you.

      Hope it helps.
