      i think better is contibet/fold on flop, especially after his check.
      If he has something strong he will check/rise or call your bet and bet itself on turn, then its time to give up your hand, if hand don`t get better on turn.
      If he is not fishy, then maybe he fears from overpair or holds smth marginal and will fold.

      I think b/f flop is fine way to play your hand and if get called then check it down
      if you checked flop, then betting turn for value is also ok
