Days to keep hand histories (FTP)

I've been using Elephant for a few days now and it's working nicely. Now I was wondering about the setup of hand histories in FTP. there's an option which specifies how many days to keep the history.

How many days is optimal to keep your hand histories, or just as long as possible? What's the max nr of days you can keep them?

thx for any help (1st post btw ;) )

Dunno if there is this on elephant.

But on PT3 and HM there is an option to archive your hand so that they don't processed them each time.

Perhaps with the auto import of elephant there is this option also.

By archiving don't think they will delete the hands.

      I put 9999 days i think lol.

Yeah if I recall correctly Elephant has the archive option too, basically it means that after importing the hands, it will copy the hand history file to a specified folder, then you can always have them in a folder and copy them/back them up etc.

And again, I also have my poker clients set to keep the files for 9999 days.
