Agreed, if its affecting you financially than stop. Come back in a few months with a small deposit say 20-40$ and play the low stakes, so that dropping and gaining a few dollars each session won't hurt you. Playing poker in a mindframe were you feel inclined to claw your money back asap will only cost you more.

      Poker online & casino
      BlackJack
      Sports Betting

I cant go a day without one of these

Wasnt until last week that i noticed i had a problem.Got pissed up with a few people that i know, then went into town to search for girls.Instead of going clubing i ditched the people i was with and went to the casino. While drunk all i could think about was the thrill of gambling, even if Megan Fox walked up to me and begged me to defile her until the sun comes up i probably wouldnt even of batted an eyelid.maybe not, almost at that point tho.

The first step is recognizing your problem.

Now you can follow it up by reading on the net, prob join a forum for ppl like you.

Don't gamble. At all. Go cold turkey. I'm sorry if this isn't what you want to hear... but if you have a gambling addiction... you sholdn't gamble at all. Doesn't matter what game or what stakes.

      Hello DjAdolfMixer,

Sorry to hear about your problem. However like people have said recognizing it is the first step.

Maybe this article could help you ---> http://www.pokerstrategy.com/strategy/psychology/695/

      Best Regards,

I don't think i could live without gambling one way or another: stock market trading, forex, poker, etc. Tried to quit poker for a week but couldn't stay away for more than 3 days. BUT:

      1. i don't do it with money i can't afford to lose
      2. i always use some sort of money management. ALWAYS!!!
      3. i do it just when i feel i have an edge. That means no blackjack, nothing with dices, no retarded electronic poker or something, no sport betting of any sort.

And i don't see these 3 things as limitations because i don't feel the need to go past them. I never played for real money any of the things at (3) and i probably never will. I don't feel the "hunger" to be a consistent loser and i definately don't have fun when i know that. So what's the point?

Other forms of poker is a rather "marginal" situation. I rarely played something else than hold'em and if i got out quick because i had no idea what the hell i was doing.

You don't win money gambling, you lose. You win money playing poker off of the people trying to gamble.

I don't think i could live without gambling......... Just today I:

      1. Drove on the opposite side of the freeway towards cars.......each car that comes up to you at 200km/h is like a major heads up battle....do I go right (do I raise).....do I go left (do I check), should I brake to minimize impact!! (Fold) NEVER!!!!!

      2. Hung a turd in my bosses coffee mug..........he will always suspect it was me but will never prove it!! (The fear of being caught..... like bluffing)

      3. Randomly fall over around objects in my office.........One day I'll be hospitalized so I can play online poker for ages and ages and have a reason/excuse to do so while being paid on compo. (like crushing lower limits money for jam even if you're sitting stagnant)

      4. Walked up to my bosses wife, licked the back of her sweaty neck and said if you want my beef bayonet in your cinnamon ring come see me. (A feeler bet, you just never know)

      5. Just about to leave and thinking about driving home with washing detergent in my eyes...(like moving up levels.....you never really know what's going to jump out at you).

Anyway hope it helps with your addiction and just think about this......it could be worse, you could be addicted to horse semen!

it's waiting for you, and if u gotta hit it u might aswell go ahead. our free will has been proven to be an illusion, meaning ur not in control of ur own actions, ur brain is. don't feel bad about it. it's inevitable. you'll be broke and then you'll get to your senses and your life will change. might aswell have some fun hitting the rock bottom now your at it.
