      Hi all

Please evaluate turn play. Thanks a lot

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.01/$0.02 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

      Known players:
      BU:
      $3.44
      SB(Hero):
      $2.00
      BB:
      $1.36
      UTG1:
      $1.95
      UTG2:
      $2.42
      MP1:
      $1.41
      MP2:
      $1.55
      MP3:
      $1.37
      CO:
      $0.60

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8, 8.
6 folds, BU calls $0.02, Hero calls $0.01, BB checks.

      Flop: ($0.06) 5, J, 6 (3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, BU checks.

      Turn: ($0.06) 8 (3 players)
Hero bets $0.04, BB raises to $0.12, BU folds, Hero raises to $0.40, BB raises to $1.34, Hero calls $0.94.

When he 4 bets me I thought its highly likely he got a gunshot straight. But I thought he also may not have a straight, 2 pairs also possible as well. Folding is out of the question right?

      River: ($2.74) J (0 players)
      Hero gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $1.8.

      Hi,

      Raise preflop !!!

I'd just pot the turn i don't think it makes a difference to them, and from there play it like you did. As you said it's possible for him to have been slowplaying a lower set or an overpair maybe, some top pair, he might just have hit two pairs too, he might have 7x for a pair and an OESD... We're only close to dead if he has JJ, so we're not folding.

      Hope it helps.
