Quality of Clothing at PS Shop?

Well I got some points and did some calculations. Compared to what I'd pay for clothing here in some store, PS looks damn cheap. So I'm thinking of getting some casual wear for the next few months.

Has anyone ordered any clothing from PS? Technically, with my current VIP level and point accumulation rate, buying clothes at PS is better than getting some of the cash bonuses atm, if I consider the cashout equivalent if the intention was to buy clothing in a store here :P

Will their t-shirts last past the 3rd wash?

Why to waste points (read: money) to buy something with PS logo on it and wear it for free? It's usuall that companies pay for ads, not that costumers pay for the chance to wear ads ^^

I remember one guy full in PS stuff and I'm still sorry I didn't take a picture :D

Slightly off topic, but still relevant i feel, I just received my first ever points (Ironman medals) purchase from Full Tilt.

It's a 3 in 1 jacket/fleece and really good quality made by a recognised brand, really impressed.
At the end of the day, anything in their shop represents their own image/brand, so is unlikely they would dish out too poor a quality stuff.

Sorry I know that this is the Stars thread, but kinda relevant =)

      Well it's like this:

25000 FPP = $285 bonus. (which is what I'd work to get instead)

I need to go shopping for clothes. Just need a whole lot of new stuff, cause current stuff is getting old.

25000 FPP = 41.6 T-shirts (Though I'm not going to buy that many :P Just an example)

Now R2000-2200 is what a normal trip to the shops to load up on standard (nothing fancy) clothes costs.

      now, $285 = R2122 (local currency) = 21.2 - 28.3 T-shirts @ R75-R100 (normal price for standard quality, once again, nothing fancy)

So considering that money in my Stars account, money in my bank and money in my wallet is just that... money. It really doesn't matter to me which money I spend. Technically, this could save money. As 25000 FPP worth of clothes > 25000 FRR $ bonus, in real-money terms :P Only thing is I could move up in the limits if I get that bonus... or summin. Meh, maybe I'll just buy like 1 t-shirt and see for myself, instead of getting into all this strange talk. :P

      Tx guys

Yea, that makes sense. I just wanted to point out, that you're going to pay for the chance to advertise them.. Companies use to give out these kind of T-shirts for free ;)

As long as you're not going to buy 41 of them, it should be fine though :D

edit: offtopic: you should always think in long term, so those 25000 FPP are worth $400 if you save them for later..

yea who dresses themselves up as a walking AD... I would rather create a a room shrine though PS doesnt offer as many things for the house as FT does (bar stool, folding chair, wall clock, garbage bin, bar sign, globe, floor mat, Humidor, picture frame.. you get the point :f_biggrin: )

lol. Some pretty hypocritical comments here. Let me explain. You go to a shop buy a pair or trainers wit6h a Nike logo on it or a adidas logo on it, or any other brand name trainer. You go to a shop and buy a t-shirt with say Ben-Sherman on it? lactose? or how about a nice pair of levi jeans. Or a Timberland jacket. What about that Rolex watch. Wait a minute how about that nice car you have that says ferrari on the back. Yeah you just wonder about the streets with all the stuff just to look cool right? These brands make you pay top dollar just to make you look cool right? WRONG Oh yeah you might look cool, but it that the motive of the company that owns that brand? No No they want your mates to see all this cool stuff, they want some random stranger that you walk past in the street to see all this cool stuff. Now it dont take a rocket scientist to work out why. Saying that going by some of the dumb-wit comments i guess i will have to explain why? COMPANYS PUT LOGOS ON BRNDS FOR ADVERTISMENT, not to make you look cool. Pokerstars is no different.

      It is. ;)

You can't (or you shouldnt) compare PokerStars logo to Nike or Ferrari... Try to compare it to your local bank or hardware shop - that will be more accuate imo ;)

and btw: wearing one piece of any brand on you is nice but I'd say "what a idiot" to anyone full in w/e even it was Nike or similar... too much is just too much sometimes

Hmmm... think I have to clear this up before this goes anymore off topic. I'm not looking at buying an entire wardrobe of PokerStars clothes, that I will wear all the time, and everywhere. I'm looking at buying maybe two or three t-shirts to wear around the house or if I have to go buy some milk. Maybe a jacket that I can wear here and there, and maybe a hoody or two for those colder evenings at home. I'm certainly not planning to go to the casino dressed up like a PS billboard.

All I wanted to know was... are the clothes of a nice quality (breathable, soft, easy to wash/iron material). Just because it's more economical for me to order at PS, than it is to buy at the store.
